What exactly is going on down south, the same stable of players literally has won every event for the past year.. i know i can't be the only one thinking something smells fishy
Gobbo other Thread got closed by the mod said it doesn't belong in the House of Blogs, hoping we can have this one without Trooper talk.
This thread is to discuss local professional poker players on their journey. Please refrain from mentioning the local youtube celebrity who plays poker.

This is me playing nl2, nl5 and nl10 on party poker for one year.
My history begins somewhere in same period when they started to show WSOP shows in television. I think I have played 12-13 years nows mainly NL2, some amount of NL5 and little bit of NL10 what is the biggest stake i've ever played.
It's been about 9.5 years and 350K posts of epicness, but "It Lives, It Lives" can live no more. The OG LLSNL Chat Thread got too big for the servers to handle and had to be retired.
In 2013, after we made a deal about Holdem solver, Trueteller mentioned that solving 2-7 Triple Draw (TDFL) could make me a million dollars. TDFL was an obscure poker variant regularly played with $2000 big blind on PokerStars – and there was no action at lower stakes to practice, which made solver even more valuable.
The first version of the solver relied on handcrafted strategies for preflop betting and the 1st draw, solving subtrees starting from the second betting round (mim
Have had this thought running in my head the past few sessions and was wondering if I could get some feedback or just thoughts on the subject in general.
In my local room as well as many others there are types of players who are OMC/Nit types that we all encounter. Some are the stereotypical OMC, others are just super tight MAWGs. These players only play premiums, and once they win a pot getting any of their winnings becomes very difficult. I obviously just avoid playing with them, and essentiall
1.) The website is fun at first; you're going to get a lot of nut flushes/etc.
They say that there is no 'rigging' occurring for new accounts, but this is a pattern a lot of people point out; and the CEO was quoted as saying something akin to "The worst thing for the poker ecosystem is if a fish joins and gets stomped immediately; they'll lose their deposit then never redeposit." Not evidence of rigging; just a data point to consider.
The turn/river is disgusting. You will routinely, and I d
I know it’s early and normally I’m not excited about WSOP this soon after but dang it, I’m itching to go back already!
I made some deep runs and cashed in 2024 but still feel unfulfilled by going home without some hardware on my wrist.
2025 is my year!!
Any thoughts on how the GG purchase might change it in 2025, if at all? I suspect it will be pretty similar to last year but with more online qualifiers, satellites, and events.
Just 8 days until Florida State plays Georgia Tech!
A lot happened while you were away:

The Pac-12 went out in a blaze of glory: Oregon, Washington, USC and UCLA are headed to the B1G Utah, Arizona, Arizona State and Colorado are headed to the B12 Cal and Stanford along with SMU are somehow headed to the ACC Poor old Wazzu and Oregon State are now aligned with the MWC in some sort of in-flux relationship

CoinPoker: The Decentralized Poker Room Built for Players, by Players
Developed by an ambitious team of poker lovers, CoinPoker is a revolutionary platform that uses blockchain technology to address key issues in the poker industry. Despite being far from our vision for CoinPoker as the biggest poker room in the world, our team is proud to be the first project of its kind to deliver on the promises made during its ICO perio
The problem is that many "tourist type" players who drop into the poker room and play these games buy in for very small amount, such as $100 in a $1-$3 no-limit, and when a straddle is posted, this essentially turns the small buy-in into a short stack. Thus, they run the risk of getting knocked out of the game very quickly (since this type of person should have no understanding of short-stack strategy) and that's not good for the long-term health of the poker games or pok
Table is very gambly with a few whales driving the action.
LJ - one such whale, in particular is opening 40 pre, showing down Q8o, shoving A6s pre, but also calling a lot vs counter-aggression.
V - Young asian that plays higher and is a winning LAG. Would like advice about how to adjust to this guy. Loves to gamble. Has a polar range seemingly, I don't have a lot of hours with him but he's opened OTB with 52s and called my OOP 3-bet and turned it into a bluff. He's very capable.
I play a room that runs 1/2 and 1/3 and sometimes 2/5 gets going on the weekends. It's a fairly strong room but it has a stratification of players' strengths. In all about 100 regulars + 2-300 semi-regulars (once a monthish) + a continuous flow of incidentals - the pilot from Brazil, the heartbroken Lithuanian, etc.
Everyone in this room, with the exception of me and a few good regs, hates playing anything 6 handed or less. The INSTANT the table gets down to 5 people start asking "if we're break
This thread is to separate the Bovada-related comments and questions from the Official Bodog Support Thread, which is there only for questions or concerns about anything Bodog-branded.
There is no official Bovada Rep at 2+2 at this time, but perhaps if discussion is effected in a civil manner, one might arrive in due course?
Fred approved by Obama. Happy new year and all the best all. Ruo, that was just a lil bit too much detail dere in your last poast but I'd check alc levels first. Speaking of which, remember to take good care of your younger amigos.
Bad beats are part of the game. I understand that. But after absorbing more than my fair share on Poker Stars I switched to Full Tilt six months ago. The first few months were much better over on Full Tilt.
Now Full Tilt is worse than Poker Stars ever was. The past month has been brutal. Tonight I've had pocket aces six times. All six times I lost to someone with a lower pocket pair.
I can't tell you how many times (at least 100 times the past thee weeks) where someone needs one card, es
TL;DR - RTP applies to poker tables. (With 3x confirmation and direct confirmation)
Was browsing trustpilot when I came across this response from Global Poker. (Pic Related)
The above comment had a very interesting phrase to kick it off.
" All Global Poker games utilise a certified Random Number Generator and Return to Player percentage" (This is a portion of what is written in the above image)
First post in this specific forum. Normally post in NL Strategy. Hoping for some feedback about bankroll management.
I started playing 4-5 times a week at MGM National Harbor in March after a few months off. Previously I had been playing at MD Live and lost most of what I had won (around $1,200). Anyway, I took $200 to the casino and tried my luck. No bankroll to start really.
I had a great March (+$3,000) but a terrible April (-$3,000) after trying 2/5 and losing $1k and a horrific 24-hour
