Turn and river decisions.
I open 6s6h's in the CO and get called by the button and BB.
Js8c4d...It's checked to me, I bet and only the Button calls. The button is loose pre flop. He cold calls a ton and does three bet a decent bit pre flop. I don't know how bluffy he is.
Js8c4d7h....How would you proceed.

I c/c turn and c/f river unimproved. The 7 is a really bad card for you and I don't think this guy is going to bluff two streets after playing passively thus far.
Hardest decision in LHE, in my view, is whether to bet again on the turn OOP with a middling hand. I think DD said something like that in one of his videos back in the day, and it's stuck with me. In this case, I suspect it is a check/call.
Yeah agree with hard that this is the hardest decision in poker. My rule of thumb is that if I pick up equity I lean toward aggression so I’d bet this but I certainly could be wrong
I check/called the turn. I didn't want to get raised and I figured this was a good spot to check a hand with outs. I also didn't think there was a ton of value in the bet.
The river came...Js8c4d7h8d...I checked and he bet.
I think u played it fine on this board .
Now c/c River.

I think that's a decent rule of thumb if we don't have showdown value. But where, for example, you have a draw and then you pick up a pair, that can easily move your hand up into bluff-catching territory instead of bluffing territory. The problem is that in LHE sometimes it moves you up into value territory!

When you call turn I think you are committing to calling again on this sort of river. The only thing that has changed is that villain chose to bet again rather than check it back. If your opponent gives up on a lot of bluffs on the river I think you can fold exploitatively, but we should probably assume they're gonna keep firing.
I’d call river and hate it
I'd call river and love it
