Tough tuen in in wild game
40/80, table filled with unknown tourists as it's superbowl weekend, and is really wild - tons of family pots. An incredibly lose, gambool drunk open limps up UTG (his vpip is somewhere around 90%, open limping more then half the time. His range is pretty much at. He has open folded of a few times though, so who knows. raise next to act with AQdd, folds around to TAGfish bb who calls.
Flop: 7d, 5s, 4c
They check, I bet, they call.
Turn: Js
BB checks and the UTG limper donks. I consider all options equally, leaning toward a fold because I don't think my A high wins at showdown much, so continuing is really just chasing a 6 outer that won't necessarily be good if I hit - an A can make both villains two pair, and BB has QJ in his range as much as QK . What are you doing? If you're not folding, what's your river plan? Remember, I'm not closing the action, and the big blind could be sandbagging.

You aren’t getting immediate odds here.
I’d check the flop
How am I not getting immediate odds? I have 6.5:1, and it's 6.8:1 I hit on the turn + chances of both villains folding flop is at the very least 10%. Combined, thats over 22% that I'm happy by the turn. Not to mention effective odds looked good too.
5.5 to 1 now, no?

Sounds like you're talking about the flop odds and he's talking about the turn odds.
Well he recommended checking the flop so that's what I thought he was referring to.
id fold in 20/40. is there a reason do otherwise in 40/80?
id check the flop too.
Raise turn. There enough 98 and other gutter by drunk random. Raising going to get BB to fold enough 4x and sometime 5x. Calling is probably still better than folding. It no good to think of hands that beat you game speed, all it does is make you fold out decent equity which BB will end up doing when you raise.
I love games I just never see a check call followed by a donk that’s still a draw
agreed. c/c flop + donk turn usually = "i turned a pair to go with my flop draw" or "i turned a draw to go with my flop pair."
This flop is total ass and there's a good chance that the limper continues with his entire range. I just check. We can catch a pair, catch a flush draw, or even get really lucky and check down and win. And we can still consider a turn isolation raise if the limper bets.
Raising the turn seems thin, but mandatory. It's annoying that the tagfish can have so many pair+draws that won't fold, but the limper can have Qh9h so whatever.
If the guy can have no pair no draw Q high here and bet into two people, he's unlike anyone I have ever played with.

I don't have him anywhere near that wide, that's I'm not so anxious to raise. I'm almost even leaning toward fold>raise>. Raising with 0 FE from the better seems a bit too thin, I don't think knocking off BB off his equity makes up for it. As you said, the better has to be betting something.
