Value Bet?

Value Bet?

Boring tag opens middle position and I three bet qjss in the cutoff

Board runs out QJTxA no fd possible.

He check calls the first two streets and checks to me on the river

This one feels like work. Imo barely checking a straight, can fold a *few* same/better, calls a lot of better, rarely calls worse, and never raises worse. Checking back worth about 25% of the pot. Shrug.

I would not value bet and am struggling to think of a worse hand he might call with (particularly since QT/JT should put in at least a bit more action before the river).

Yeah, this guy donks a king 100 percent.

I think his most likely hand here is aces up. He's not going to bet it with the one card straight, but isn't going to fold either. He could have something like A9, but he's probably going to fold that.

What passes for a TAG nowadays? IE what kind of hand range do we expect and how much equity do we need to 3B?

I’m thinking 40% against his range treating the blinds as dead money?

Yeah I mean this is a clear three bet against non nits that can fold post.

Play a polarize range in this type of situation. People overfold hands and you wont get exploited so no need to balance w borderline value bet. Suited Axs should bluff if you dont have med PP barrel.

Suited Ax is a value bet!

Wasnt sure if T9s or A5s would be better to force A9. But pp is definitely better to barrel.
