2024 Fantasy Football Thread
Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of Jan
Keep firing up Kareem Hunt. He has become the workhorse as predicted. Carson Steele might get a couple rushed.
I am. Keep in mind I am just starting to think this. I've seen many times when a QB has a good rookie year and then defenses catch up to him and it doesn't go so well. Remember Davis Mills? In small sample sizes I think players aren't as good or as bad as we have seen up to this point. Stroud has not looked good to me this whole year even with Nico. He looks slow running the ball. I kind of liked what I saw from Bryce in the Bronco game. I think he is in a tough situation to start his career an
I think Bryce is still live to have better fantasy seasons than Stroud but better irl QB he's going to have to put some insane film up.

This type of stuff is littered across CJ's rookie tape. This is a gift that you don't forget, his apptitude and mechanics are off the charts and I don't think this just disappears. Anticipation is why guys like Fields are never going to be quality QB's and because of Bryce's height he cannot work the middle of the field as often as CJ. I want to say CJ is the next coming of Peyton Manning but I'm starting to get the feeling he's just a ho-hum 4,000/30 type guy. He should have 5,000/40 in him but not sure if Houston is going to let him. I've been lazy to watch film this year so I can't comment on CJ's struggles this year beyond having a slightly better WR corps than the Raiders due to injuries but at the level I hype him he should be able to overcome it.
Anyways, as a fantasy QB I think his ceiling is capped but there can only be a handful of QB's ahead of him who you would want at the helm of your franchise irl.

My main argument is that I think the gap between CJ and Bryce is gonna close as situations change. I agree that CJ will be a better real life QB than a fantasy QB. I'm concerned about his lack of athleticism compared to the recent crop of QB's. I loved CJ at Ohio State and thought he should have been the first pick. He does have great tape but consistency is equally important. The ability to have an answer when defensive coaches have film on you separates the greats.
12 team PPR redraft - does Brandin Cooks have any value? He is supposed to come off IR 11/10 and this is what I am currently rolling with:
Collins
MHjr
Jennings
Doubs
Wan'dale
JuJu
One from this list is an auto cut (prob juju) when Collins comes off IR so my question is Cooks better ROS than Doubs or Wan'Dale?

Yeah, he's pretty much a pure pocket passer which limits his fantasy upside and probably cost him being the 1.01 as it's a fairly dying breed. I'm pretty confident the kid is going to put the work in to counter defenses scheming against him. I'd still be fine moving CJ in fantasy for like a Purdy + something if that is where his value is. Probably a lot of interesting deals you can make selling him for a QB with similar numbers and get something thrown in.
i believe CIN's rushing success rate was the worst in October. their run game is broken. Crosby is likely to blow up many of our drives
Tee is unlikely to play. CIN's O is **** without the fragile Tee
TB's D is pretty middling, so i think KC's O will have a good day at GEHA
i'd run w Hunt
Today's nonsense move for me - ACQ Kahlil Herbert DROP Juju SS
My friend that follows the Bears says he's not getting traded but figured since I have to clear a roster spot for Collins next week there is almost zero downside to this move and I can just drop him next week

another topic of note
high chance of rain and t-storms tmr night at GEHA
Why oh why did I decide to bench Zay Flowers, hopefully doesn't bite me in the ass
I feel really bad for my buddy haha
Yup, recovered in w2.
His game is so weird. Dude is a target and PPR monster, but he just doesn't find the end zone. 4 career receiving NFL TDs on 201 targets and 152 receptions.
Even in college, he didn't score much. He had 10 receiving TDs on 164 receptions and only 1 receiving TD his last season when he caught 90 balls. Technically, he had 2 TDs that last season. He had 1 rushing attempt for 69 yards and a TD lol.
McBride added another TD today.
All my JSN best ball teams:
Need 25 points on MNF, 5 point passing TDs. Do I go with Mahomes or Baker? Mahomes looks to be better play but in this specific spot I wonder if I need to increase variance with Baker?
rain and tstorms
prob fkd either way
I'm officially done with DFS unless I win big tonight. Every week I pick the right players in well constructed rosters. Every week I have a major injury that kills my team. DFS is all luck anyway but when you add bad luck you have no chance.
The Bears better get rid of their coaches or Caleb is gonna be another Trevor Lawrence.

1. Play a lot of lineups
2. Diversify by setting min uniques and/or capping players max exposures
3. Use proper bankroll management (don't invest more than 2 to 3 percent of your BR on a single slate)
Doing those 3 things will greatly reduce your variance in DFS.
Bijan got 26 touches today. Now that's more like it! Even if TA vultured his td, all good.
Still undefeated in my main league with friends, no one has ever gone undefeated, but I have a sweat tonight
I have KC dst, he has R White
I’m up 10 in .5ppr
Good luck. If White stays out of the end zone, I like your chances.
I’ve never pulled off an undefeated season. Closest I’ve been was in 2022. I lost w1 then ran the table to the ship. Then technically lost the ship. I had a small chance to win. It was the Damar Hamlin game. I was down something like 6 going into the matchup with Chase versus Josh. So needed a Chase nuclear game, but it’s possible.
I just need to fade 19.59 points from Hunt to go 6-3
I'm 6-2 with a 98% chance to go 7-2 in my other league, i'm doing alright so far (by that I mean getting lucky a lot 😃)
