Yeah, these changes suck. Maybe there's a good reason for them though.

Fwiw, i have it on old forum and new forum both. I prefer old forum but often I cant even get into 2+2

Verififying human connection circle keeps on rotating forever

I have lost a couple pretty long posts in the last couple days when it logged me out in the middle of making a post. Before when this happened it would just log me back in and keep the post. But with whatever process is going on now, the post is just being lost.

Sucks.

There was a good reason for changes to be made, quickly. If anything has been made worse, accidentally, no doubt fixes will be made asap. (I informed Max that a particular Search of mine wasn't working, and he fixed the problem before I could say "Jack Robinson".)

I regret that I don't have the authority to tell you what the original problem was, but I can tell you it was far worse than people wondering if Jack had something to do with it.

Every time loading 2+2 takes at least 5 minutes with the messge of making sure im human and connection is safe
and this happens each time i try to open 2+2
on mobile it keeps on that screen forever and i never get in

Is this a known issue and how can i fix it? Not happening on any other site

I receive that message too. I assume many others, if not everyone, is receiving it. It lasts perhaps ten seconds for me, so I simply make a cup of tea while I wait. What really pissed me off, though, was that I wrote a long post, hit submit, the "are you sure you're human?" message popped up, and after my cup of tea I found my post had evaporated into the ether.

I'd suggest you copy posts and PMs, just in case, before submitting, until this new problem has been fixed.

Btw, i have 2+2 bookmarked. If i click that it never loads on pc. If I go in using google it does get me there but not 10 seconds unfortunately. It often takes more than a minute.

On a mobile device I never get in anymore.

And yea I write my posts in notepad so I dont lose the text too😉

It's the standard Cloudflare "under attack" functionality. At this point they should start dialing it down to target where the attack is coming from, and not every web visitor.

I have the same issue with my bookmark but have found that if I click it a second time it loads right up.

The validation moves quickly for me, no issues there.

The changes seem to be actively antagonistic towards people who tab browse though, as leaving a reply open too long seems to trigger the post getting dropped.

It could be a big coincidence but the changes have seemingly tanked activity in P&S (not necessarily a bad thing....)

This has happened to me on other sites too like gamefaqs and other ones ive frequented from time to time i dont know why it happens.

also, any of you know whjy my layout bugs out whe I click certain topics on NVG? I am on the old vbulletin layoutr but sometimes it goes to the new layout weirdly on some topics?

I'm getting the verification thing everywhere nowadays, but 2+2 seems to be the only one that keeps reloading itself again and again, not logging me in.

With this and my embarrassing attempts at doing Captchas, I'm starting to feel like Rick Deckard in Blade Runner. Maybe I am a robot...

For me the verification question was only here on 2+2 and this suddenly vanished, not because I changed something

If you get the verification thing everywhere does that mean your own connection isnt secure? Maybe using a VPN?

I'm just using my phone data linked to my laptop most of the time. No VPN.

UK's been passing some stupid age verification stuff recently, so might be that.

Have you tried clearing cache? I haven't had or heard of anyone having this issue since it was fixed last month.

If Cloudflare is flagging you, you're definitely getting flagged for a shady VPN or malware on your computer.

I once heard or overheard someone saying something about restarting something to get it to work.

I'm optimistic that method may or may not be effective in this or that case.
