Is this beatable because of rake/drop/greed?

So I haven't played poker in over 5 years but this past weekend I played about 10 hours in two days. The structure at this cardroom for rake is 6$ + 2$ (jackpot) once the pot reaches 50.00. Every 30 minutes at the dealer change they played a double board bomb pot and took double rake and jackpot (12+4). Some of these bomb pots took 10 minutes to sort out and I swear there were some dealers that only dealt one orbit of the button per 30 minutes. So less than 30 hands an hour.

The game was 1/2 NL and the buyin is 60-200 max. Over the ten or so hours on three different tables I only saw a few stacks over 400 and it just seemed like a cash grab by the card room in terms of rake.

Sure most of the players seemed horrendous but it just felt like the game was unprofitable. I played in this room before and the rake was 5+1 and it seemed like stacks were bigger.

Even though this is 1/2 and everyone was terrible. Is this game still beatable based on how much money was coming off the table per hour? They spread a 1/3 but that's the biggest game that runs with a 200-500 buyin.

Would the correct strategy be to avoid the bomb pots and play SUPER tight? Thanks in advance!
