How people run?

Just a general question for you grinder types. I think I'm relatively decent at the game. At least at the levels I play. I'm sure you guys know my weaknesses by now. Lol

But I'll literally have weeks of play where I just tread water and my BR just hovers. I'm not playing huge volume, but definitely putting in hours 6 or 8 tabling consistently many days during those weeks. Then I'll have runs of luck (good/bad) where I'll shoot up or down 10 or 15 buy ins. It's a wild ride. But mostly just treading water.

Is that common? I'm just wondering about you guys who seem to make a living at this. It seems tough to get any kind of consistent income.
