Staying at hotel not using rewards card

Staying at hotel not using rewards card

I apologize if this is in the wrong sub. I have pretty good offers from Caesers properties and don't want to mess that up. My question is if I stay at a caesers property for an overnight and do not use my rewards card for anything for the day I check in and the next day of check out, will that affect my rating? Wasn't sure if it's tied to your rewards card swiping or if the system would know that you stayed there for free but didn't gamble based on your name/credit card info? Thank you for the help

If you're staying using a comped or reduced rate and don't play during your stay, yes it will affect your future comps, but not your card points.

If you're asking if you pay for the room yourself and don't use your card during that stay, then no it shouldn't affect anything.

yeah it's a comped rate. I guess I need to play 1 of the 2 days. Usually I check in and play a lot of poker then checkout in the morning and go home thereby not playing on check out day and that doesn't affect my comps. This time would be the reverse. I would check in late at night and maybe play the check out day, would that be ok?

I guess that's better than not playing at all. I was always told it was tied to swiping your card though so no swipes = no ratings so it shouldn't affect it? I guess not.

yeah if you don't play during your stay they won't likely comp you the next time but you don't have to play every day, just play the same number of hours you usually do so if it's the next day that's fine (assuming you got the comps based only on poker).

How do you get these offers .. just from poker play?

We do have some Players at tribal casinos that wont scan in when they play poker because it affects how the computer rates them for comps.

I would definitely 'signal' them that you appreciate the opportunity to stay there at a reduced rate by doing something.

I may seem weird, but I always buy something from a place when I'm really just stopping to use the bathroom .. just me. GL

Those players mostly play table games and their average bet size (theoretical loss) goes down when they play poker which brings down their average, so they prefer to not include a game that will reduce their average play.

I had a blow out a couple months ago on the highway, got towed to Mavis tire late on a Sunday which was next to a diner (my car doesn't come with spares) and while waiting for an uber I had to use the restroom from drinking too much water all day, so I walked into the empty diner, said hi to the greater and a couple waitresses and walked straight to the restroom in the back like I owned the place. I then told everyone "have a good day" on my way out (a smile and a head nod usually tells them "it's ok, I'm cool".
I've also stopped at convenience stores with restrooms but tbh the people that work there rly don't care whether you buy anything or not, they're just workers.
