Question about Sleeper Straddle
Hello, I'm from Thailand. I have questions about Sleeper Straddle that I found from a home game here.
1. What is the difference between Standard Straddle and Sleeper Straddle?
2. In the poker room around the world, both Straddle and Sleeper Straddle must be posted before the cards are dealt?
3. Does Sleeper Straddle change the action order in the same way as Standard Straddle (from UTG)?
I know that there are many posts about this, but I want the clearly question in one post because I found a home game in Thailand that plays Sleeper Straddle as follows:
1. They wait until the right players fold before posting the "Sleeper Straddle" so they don't see their cards before posting.
2. Posting the Straddle in the same way as 1.
3. Straddle and Sleeper change action order in the same way, whether right players before posting player fold or not.
What is the correct implementation of "Sleeper"? Thank you.

It's not really a real thing, so it's kinda up to each room to define what they mean by it.
Generally speaking, a sleeper straddle is one that you:
* put out as normal before the deal (but not UTG)
* activates as a "straddle" if everyone between BB and the sleeper folds, so action skips them and they get to act last PF, as if they had put up an UTG straddle
* returns to the player who made it if anyone calls or raises in front of them, and then they have all actions available to them, as if nothing ever happened
so waiting until the action gets to them isn't quite normal, but as long as they don't look at their cards before putting it out then it's basically the same thing, and it eliminates the weirdness of getting to take your sleeper straddle back if someone in front of you calls or raises.
different rooms deal with straddles differently as well (some allow for a button straddle, some say you act in turn if someone in front of you raises, some make you always act last even if someone in front of you raises, etc.), so it's really often pretty random.
Just ask what room rules are and follow them.

Thanks, quite clearly.
