boxed cards
I present please three different scenarios in which a boxed card appears. just want to clarify how it’s handled.
1. The fourth card dealt is boxed
2. The final card going to the player on the Dealer button is boxed
3. The middle of the three cards for the flop is boxed meaning of course, the second card of the flop
the way that I was trained, all of these situations are handled the same. The box card is treated as paper, put into the muck and immediately replaced by the next card before the deal, concludes or continues. one of the cards being boxed on the flop, per a previous post and answers, also must be treated like paper and replaced, even though it was part of the natural flop even though it is logical that part of the flop was boxed, and it was going to be exposed. Anyways, the logic that was explained to me behind the ruling was that because the card was boxed, there is a possibility that it could have been exposed or compromised in the shuffling and dealing process previously.
in the scenario of the last card dealt being boxed, and the first scenario, people are saying that somebody cannot receive two cards in a row, which is clearly not accurate.

You are right. Treat it like a scrap of paper and replace with the next card immediately.
Button can get two cards in a row.
Two boxed cards on the deal is a misdeal.
Any significant slug of boxed cards during the board runout. I call over the floor and as floor seriously consider voiding and redeal.
Unfortunately, this procedure doesn't work well at all for the majority of cards being dealt, as usually the next card has already started flying before it is noticed that the previous card was upside down in the stub. It's even worse for stud hands when dealing upcards, as it is more often hard to notice, or even to know for sure that this has happened. I've always thought there should be a better rule for this, but I'm not certain what it should be. I think it would be an improvement to consider it the same as a card exposed during the deal.
I was taught that any boxed card on the initial deal you're supposed to stop action and carefully look at the top half-ish of the stub to look for more boxed cards. If you find another one that may come out during the hand and there hasn't been significant action you can declare a misdeal. If there has been action and you find another boxed card call the floor.
If you plan to proceed with the hand and the next hand has already been given to the next player, just treat it like a flipped card and give them the burn.
1 and 2 are the same.
3 I would call the floor before proceeding. It's rare enough that players won't know if you're doing the right thing, and it's good to have them there if you then find out one of the next 5 cards on the deck is also boxed.
You're supposed to call the floor on the first boxed card. The box card doesn't go into the muck until the floor is on the scene.
The most common scenario I've seen with boxed cards has boxed cards come in pairs, and it's more often the winning hand from two hands ago due to how the dealer concludes a hand.
I don't remember ever seeing the floor called for a boxed card.
It's possible I'm not remembering some times, but it's certainly not standard procedure at most places I have played.
I've never seen a boxed card. Can't happen with auto-shufflers, right?
I've seen it happen with Kem cards in Deckmate 2's. It's rare, but somehow it catches on something and gets flipped.
I don't think the Deckmate 1's check for upside down cards, so if the dealer puts a deck in with boxed cards it will come back out with boxed cards.
