Nimzo_3d GUI is a chess program for Windows 7 - 11
It is an enhanced version of the Tarrasch Chess GUI written
by Bill Forster, which has the following additional features :-

Shootout mode
Printing functions
User defined board bitmaps
Puzzle mode
PGN game file search functions
Engine match and tournament functions
Automatic game analysis functions
3d graphics with DirectX
Game sound effects
Play on Fics, the Free Internet Chess Server
Use and make Polyglot .bin opening books
Media player for making and playing videos
An evaluation profile window
Automatic game replay function
Multi-lingual version with 40 languages
Rated game feature for playing weakened chess engines
Comprehensive .chm help file

The program downloads are now quite large, 550 - 570 Mb
because of the < UCI_LimitStrength > engines
for the < Rated game > feature and the 3d piece sets.
If this download is too large for you there is a smaller version (3.6)

The program can also use standard PGN files.

For anyone that wants to try to add more features to the program
there is a download with Visual Studio project files, program source code and
instructions on how to build the wxWidgets libraries used in the program.
It is set up with the same directory structure that I use when
