Hi guys, finally getting around to making a thread here as I'm looking to get back into coaching following a long hiatus. I've been a midlevel full-time pro for the past 5-6 years across various formats, and have long harbored a passion for helping beginners and lower-level players - check my post history, I've been posting in BQ here for 10+ years! I'm hoping to provide affordable, accessible coaching for players trying to learn the game. I haven't done much coaching in the past year, but I'm looking to get back into it, help out some newer and struggling players, and to supplement my own grind with some coaching hours.
In the past, I've worked with dozens of players of all levels and was a contracted theory coach for Lotte Lenya's husng + spin stable WinningFlips. I've helped losing players turn into winners, husng pros battle into pokerstars hu divisions, and spin and mtt pros shore up leaks in their hu game. I'm sure I can help you improve and set you up for future success at the tables!

Who This is For
I'm mainly trying to work with new, losing, and learning players, with the goal of turning you into winners and setting you up for continued improvement and success. I've been working with and helping beginners for many years, and am good at breaking down poker theory + concepts and helping people understand the game. If this sounds like you, struggling at micros online, breaking even at live 1/3, or trying to learn husngs or spins as a $5 or $10 grinder, I can definitely guide you in the right direction and help you get setup for success. I can also help point you in the right direction regarding the myriad training content, books, and tools available in the modern poker environment - I am familiar with pt4, h2n basics, icmizer/hrc, solvers (gto+ and simplepost), and presolved gto databases, and can point you towards solid training and learning content outside of our sessions.
I'm also happy to work with any players looking to transition into husng/spin play or dabble in these formats.
Finally, I do offer coaching for winning spin regs and mtt grinders looking to do hu work + lowstakes husng regs looking to regbattle into divisions, though rates for this coaching are higher.
What Coaching Involves
Each hourlong coaching session generally involves about 30 minutes of theory work and 30 minutes of review. General theory work will be directed at leaks and problem points for each player found through light db analysis and hand review. I often create presentations for us to review on whichever theory topic(s) we've decided to work on. We will use modern gto tools - I use gtowizard and will also prepare selected solves in gto+ before sessions, and I can help you develop a working familiarity with these tools.
I also try to give practical takeaways in each session that you can immediately bring to the table to play and think better.
This blend of practical + theoretical coaching allows for immediate winrate + thought-process improvement and sets you up with baseline theoretical knowledge you can build on as you become a more advanced player.

$40/hr on an hourly basis
$175 ($35/hr) for 5 hour package
Advanced coaching (winning spin + mtt regs looking to do higher-level shallow hu work, husng regs focused on battling into divs)
$65/hr on an hourly basis
$300 ($60/hr) for a 5 hour package

I’m a beginner/intermediate player who reached out to OP for the 5-session package.
Because of the sessions, I have a much better understanding of general poker theory and have also plugged some basic leaks along the way. I have also been shown some general exploits against specific types of villains in my games.
While I still have much to learn, I’m for sure in a better place now compared to when I started. Because of the sessions, I have also become better at doing my own study.
OP is friendly and has a good interactive teaching style that keeps me “challenged” both during and between sessions, which I appreciate.
I can for sure recommend his coaching services to others in my position.

1. What's the best way to discuss this?
2. Can you play (and record?) a hyper session?
I would be looking for a 5 hour package with the 1st session based around having your play to work from. Then subsequent sessions asking q's -based from your play in video 1 -on topics that come up specifically for hyper hu situations possibly from vid session 1 or that I have which may or may not relate to spots from that vid.

Sometimes this thread gets no action for months and I get out of the habit of checking it, sorry 😊 If you want to reach out, discord (.gloves) or skype (gloves22) are both good methods. Private message here on 2p2 also works.
I'm currently in Vegas which doesn't have standard 25bb hu hypers to play anymore, but it may be possible to, for example, record footage of some global poker husngs and use endgame footage from those games. I have never done this form of coaching based on my own footage, but in principle something like that could be possible.
In February I should also have access to ps.com again, where I could easily get some hu hyper footage.

I am considering playing 75BB husng's as well as hyper's. Would you say you are equally good in both formats or specialize in only 1?

Sure, I will have access to Stars by the end of January. I am happy to work with you if you have specific topics to work on or a course you want to follow, and can also make suggestions if I notice a hole that we aren't planning to cover.
While I have had higher stakes success in turbos than hypers, overall I am more knowledgeable and theoretically accurate when it comes to hypers. Of course, turbo husngs quickly turn into hyper husngs and a good chunk of chip ev in turbos comes from effectively hyper play. Depending on your level, I can absolutely help you learn some fundamentals of turbo play, but I definitely know most about hu hyper play relative to close alternatives. For example, I can very likely add value to the hu game of a winning $50 spinner, but I probably couldn't add much value to the 50-75bb deep hu game of a winning $50 turbo reg.
As an aside, I would suggest making a choice and either looking at turbos/regspeeds and probably hu cash, or looking at hypers and potentially spins. Turbos and hypers are probably a bit worse as a combination overall because turbo action itself is pretty grim.
Are you familiar with ante husngs? I play spins on ipoker and they have an ante structure
