1 month mentorship prgram for 2 people playing up to NL200
Who am I?
My name is Vlad and I’ve been a professional poker player for the last 4 years. I had my ups and downs like everyone else and this year, I established myself at NL200 Rush and Cash on GG, playing for leaderboards. In the past 3 months, I managed to obtain a break even result pre rakeback (4 tabling), which is a great one, as this is one of the toughest midstakes pools and most of the regs here are losing pre rakeback. I consider that I have good work ethic, as I put about 120-140h of playing volume and 25h of study each month.
Why started coaching?
I was thinking for quite a while about coaching, as I wanted to share my knowledge and experience with serious players who are looking to improve their game. For the moment, I will offer coaching only to 2 persons, as I want to find out if I can offer enough value for other players and if I enjoy this kind of activity.
What are my results?
This is my graph for the last 2.5 months (O.1 BB/100 in EV), not including rakeback, leaderboards and promotions.
This is the graph for this month, where I tried a different approach: a more aggressive one (both preflop and postflop), as it can be seen on the redline.
For the first half of this year, my net winnings (including rakeback, leaderboards, promotions, jackpots, clubGG games and some live poker) added up to 40k USD.
What is my approach and how will coaching with me look like?
I use an aggressive exploitative approach (WWSF 53 for the big sample), but I always recommend a strong and solid approach of the game. This means, that I always want to have a solid baseline strategy (pseudo GTO) in each spot and deviate from there, depending on the opponent. I do this by analyzing my hands and nodelocking my opponent’s strategy in order to learn how to deviate and adapt in different scenarios.
For my first 2 students, I would like to offer a one month mentorship program, which includes:
- 4 x 1 on 1 sessions:
o First one will be a database review and leak finder in order to decide what to work on next;
o The next sessions will be focused on specific spots where the player needs improvement (but I am also open to other suggestions from the player);
- 2 hands reviewed each day, as I considered constant hand review very important for a player’s development.
I would also like to talk a bit with the players before, to see if our goals align and if we are compatible.
What is the pricing?
The 1 on 1 coachings will be scheduled for about 1 hour, but I don’t mind spending more time, as I want the coachings to be high quality and benefical for the player (not to be time restricted).
Being my first coaching experience, I am only charging 250$ for the whole month and the amount is fully refundable if the player considers that the coaching was not helpful enough.
Who am I looking for?
I would like to meet 2 ambitious players that are willing to put enough playing volume and study time. The stakes played should be between NL10 and NL200.
