Chip Leader Coaching tournament workshop

Chip Leader Coaching tournament workshop

I recently attended a three-day tournament poker workshop hosted by Chip Leader Coaching. I want to share my honest experience for anyone considering their programs.

The workshop itself was well-organized and the instructors were clearly knowledgeable. However, the content covered nothing that I hadn’t already studied on my own. To be fair to CLC, this may say more about the target audience for the program than it does about the quality of their instruction — but it’s worth knowing that the material is geared toward players who are earlier in their development. If you’re already a serious student of the game, you may not get much out of it.

What I can’t overlook, however, is what happened after. I paid $900 for the workshop and, given the mismatch in experience level, submitted a respectful refund request. That was followed by complete silence — multiple emails, zero responses.

The coaches at Chip Leader Coaching have accumulated over $50 million in tournament winnings. For an organization operating at that level, the inability to respond to a straightforward $900 refund request is a surprising and disappointing reflection of how they treat their customers.

Do your research before enrolling. I hope sharing this saves someone else the frustration.
