Help me build a new desktop please!
1. I'm completely out of the loop on current good hardware. It's been 10 years since my last build?
2. I'm now retired in the Philippines so "Newegg sales prices" are mostly a no-go. But sometimes even buying from Amazon and paying 25% or more duty and free shipping is still cheaper than buying locally.
3. My "gaming" is limited to only Diablo III and Diablo IV. System Reqs: OS: 64-bit Windows 10 version 1909 or newer
Processor: Intel Core i5-2500K or AMD FX-8350
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 or AMD Radeon R9 280
As these are min requirements, I do like much better than "minimum". But I don't need 5.2 ghz overclocked, dual VC's etc.
4. I want to run dual 27" monitors and HEM on Pokerstars.
**I just got back "online" with PStars. Hadn't played them since Black Monday. My laptop is too small! I won't be 24 tabling like the old days. Just 4-6 max. But the pokerstars client is crashing every few mins or freezing up, super lagging, etc with this shitty laptop.
What hardware suggestions do y'all have without breaking the bank and going over $2k!

Should be able to do a Ryzen 9 7900X build for under 2K, maybe even 7950X. Both are pretty overkill if you don't plan to do any studying with solvers, so you could go cheaper. Whatever you pick, I'd get a GPU rated at least 13K from this list to avoid lag caused by HM3/Stars: https://www.videocardbenchmark.net/high_...
I've picked a Ryzen 5 7600 6-core 3.8mhz unlocked.
Radeon ASRock AMD Radeon RX 6750 XT Challenger Pro 12GB OC video car which appears to be benchmarked at 21k from above list. That'd work ya?
Yeah that will work fine for playing. Powerful enough to do some moderate solver work too, although RAM could be an issue for deeper SPR solves. You can always add RAM though.
I ordered Crucial Pro DDR5 32gb ram.
Sounds like you are making good decisions here
Just waiting on part to arrive from the states here in the Philippines via Amazon. It's actually cheaper even with paying duty than buying in the Phils. Had to cancel the first picked GPU because it say for 5 days without shipping. Ended up with still a 6750 xt but two fan, shorter, instead of three. May run a little hotter, but I doubt I'll stress it.
For SSD I also changed to the Crucial T700 M.2 2TB with r/w speeds of like 12000 or something. PassMark rating has it scored at over 68000 and in the top 12 or so.
I bought a case locally since I didn't want to pay for shipping on that and then see broken glass or whatever. Ended up buying a full size tower, Helios GX 610 or something. WAY OVERBOARD! yea like I REALLY didn't need to be getting a $300 case! But hey it's Purdy!
My "under $2k" computer which will be totally underused for it's capabilities is now almost $3k. But that includes dual 27" monitors. Hopefully the last bits arrive by Wednesday and I can assemble and get back to multi-tabling.
Got it all put together, yay. Did a PassMark rating test on it and it scored 12944, 99th percentile. Like I mentioned before I went way overboard to my needs. What can I say, I'm a sucker for quality when it's sitting in front of me. Even if in front of me is on a screen! lol.
Congratulations!
