WPT launches ClubWPT Gold in 46 US states

Looks like they've launched as a "closed beta" for select users. Meet up games with pros advertised for all of next week.

ClubWPTGold Requires Credit Card to confirm ID. (Have emailed support asking if that's going to stay the case - No reply yet).

Odd way to reduce your player base before you ever really get going.

That said; I'm sure they will (probably) do fine considering most poker players are (probably) capable of providing a CC on demand.

I think it's subtley smart by the website; even though it prevents me from playing on it.

By ensuring every player has a CC by forcing it on sign up; You can be reasonably sure that said user will use the CC to buy points immediately after joining. You effectively eliminate any 'free rollers' while still being able to claim it's free to play; no purchase required (which is required for Sweeps sites to be legal-ish).

I don't own a CC because of personal beliefs. (Debt is for people who want to live a life they can't afford).

I signed up using my ID, no credit card. I have no idea what you're talking about. I am having trouble with the geo locater though. I can only sign in from my phone and not from my laptop or pc. I have location services on

When you go to profile -> Verify

It has a QR code to scan.

I scan it and it brings me to a site that requires me put in my credit card information to confirm my identity.

I've uploaded some images of what I see when I try to verify.

All above said; I just saw on bottom below QR code there is an alternate verification method used from my browser itself. It states it requires an ID and selfie. I will check that out later, as I think that would likely be the solution. The QR code though; 100% requires a CC.

When I signed up a QR code popped up and after scanning asked for a pic of the front and back of my ID then asked for a selfie. My profile now says verified

Because as the pictures show; that is not what it's requesting from me.

Not sure but I wouldn't give my credit card info to a third party right off the bat. I would wait for wpt support to answer first. I don't even feel comfortable giving my ID info but I did lol

Is buying coins available? I dont see it anywhere and it is greyed out on the main lobby.

I thought today was supposed to be launch day with a meetup game and i dont see that game either?

No, today is still beta mode with a soft launch. Only selected players that signed up using certain codes can play, my coins are still greyed out as well. I've read on X they are still trying to fix bugs and that's the reason it isn't open to the masses yet

I was having issues with the geo-locator as well... it would work, then not work the next time, then work again... wouldn't work with Brave, but would with Google Chrome, then vice versa. I think it's on their end, and still working out any kinks

UPDATE: They just added coin purchase screen(for me) in last few hours.

Also the main site times are not labeled and are in PST even if you are located in EST so the meetup game hasnt happened yet.

I really hope this software isn't the end product

Is this site a laggy mess for anyone else? Tried two preflop raises and both times i timed out and folded lol. On chrome fwiw.

Still not able to purchase, greyed out. I don't know how it would help me anyway since I can only get my location on my phone and I'm not playing mtts from a phone. The customer support just keeps telling me to turn on location services like thats not the first thing I did. Has anyone ever come across a poker site that had good support? Typical idiots don't even read the emails because if they had they would know I already have location services on

Is it possible to mutli table on this site? I can't see how to open more than one table.

I was playing on a GC table and thought I'd click 'lobby' to look around inbetween hands. This must make you actually leave the table and not just allow you to to see the lobby and put your table in a 'tab' like Global? Also since I clicked lobby I haven't been able to see any tables listed.........even after refreshing the 'client' a few times.

I'm not very interested until they release some PLO options, the site is majorly undeveloped IMO

I was able to buy a few sweep coins... was given the option of "bank account", "debit" (not credit) card, and Google Pay

Bought in for $200, cashing out for ~1500. Will play later once PLO or multitabling are added. Site seems to have great action.

Just a heads up, the site does require a W9 to be filled out before a withdrawal over $600.

what is the optimal route for signing up, ie is there a way to get rakeback going through an affiliate or should i just rawdog it?

How does this compare to ClubWPT in terms of access to satellites into WPT live events?

This is legit the toughest poker ive seen since bot battling on ACR.
