Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of Jan

Use the 2nd WW on Warren in a 16-team league? RBs are scarce. My third RB is Chase Brown.

by boscoboy k

12 team PPR currently rostering Cam Akers who would likely never see my lineup even if Mixon is out again. Holding until we get a Joe update obviously but which of these guys has the highest stand alone as a handcuff?

BAL Hill
GB Wilson
CHI Johnson
NYG Tracy
BUF Davis
SF Guerendo

Would probably be better off RNG'ing lol.

But I guess I'd rank

Johnson
Wilson
Hill
Davis
Tracy
Guerendo

Johnson is the only one on the list with a chance to actually win 50%+ of his backfield without injury, and it look like he might be on his way. lolSwift. Wilson is good for now, especially with Jacobs not looking great and Lloyd on the shelf, but not sure what Wilson's end of season upside looks like.

I guess in a league that deep. But Warren has really disappointed so far, which I think is mainly due to his injury. First the hammy and now the knee. Hopefully he can get healthy.

Najee is one of the backs who somehow never gets injured. The guy has never missed an NFL game. It's remarkable.

It’s crazy . His arm was in a sling and he’s still out there.

I guess I shouldn't say never gets injured haha. He just plays through every single one. He's at 1,040 NFL touches. He had 718 touches at Bama. Never missed a college game, either. 2x national champion.

Honestly, he doesn't get enough respect. The best ability is availability. And while he'll never be the flashiest, fastest, most athletic, best metrics, whatever, he just continues to grind.

He hasn’t been amazing this year, but he’s been ok. Last year he was pretty decent. I think he is just so negatively viewed bc of how much he failed 2x as a high fantasy pick, which is completely reasonable

I never drafted him when he was that high so I guess I’ve never felt the disappointment haha

Yeah, I perceive him as more valuable irl than for fantasy, which is a tough thing for us fantasy players to differentiate lol.

Only 5 career fumbles on those 1,040 touches.

Definitely a plodder who gets by on volume. Warren, Patterson and Fields should be enough to keep his numbers on their current downward trend. Guy just doesn't catch enough anymore to truly be valuable in PPR.

I took Moss over him and never gave it a second thought (also took Javonte Williams before Harris but that's not gonna help my post)

I wish I had continued my Javonte fade in best ball. But I FOMO’d some after Payton’s comments about him losing weight and looking good. That dude is toast.

Yeah I had a 2week pause on Javonte and then I went back to hammering him. I’m at 19% in best ball

I have a strong opinion on FAAB and dynasty. To me it should be waivers reverse standings every week. I don't think the best team in the league should be able to empty the clip and get better. Need to give us scrubs a chance to improve our team. I'm a minority?

I wonder what happens once Estime is back, especially with Badie getting into the mix.

Those Javonte getting cut rumors may come to fruition a year late at that point

Offered Chase for Nabers in .5ppr and got turned down (I’d be getting Nabers)

Nabers can be kept for $31 next year, but he has Breece for $43 and can only keep 1 of them

I thought it’d be for sure accepted, but dont necessarily disagree with the guy for rejecting it

I don't like it. But need to ponder it more.

To me if your league struggles with people staying onboard because of parity, it's going to fall apart anyway. Guess our longest is 12 years now. It stays together on the basis of just being very fun. You need to create fun. And equality in the rules doesn't hurt there.

Don't think that's too much to ask. I joined a 20 year keeper baseball league two years ago where the top 50 players were already locked up with zero penalty and it sucked. Won the first year based on effort and research and quit the 2nd year. Nonsense to be in a league where the power balance is tilted so much and obviously the guys that had 3-4 first round talents locked up forever had zero interest in any changes.

Imagine snagging Puka off of waivers last year as the worst team. Or Purdy, who was available in a lot of leagues most of his rookie season.

Not about keeping a league going, I just think weaker teams should be given opportunity to improve instead of the rich getting richer. Redraft FAAB I'm all for.

And improving isn’t always about keeping the player. Some weak teams just picked up Dalton, and may be able to move him for a 2nd, 3rd, or some other speculative player.

I’m a fan of FAAB, but I think the argument that inverse of standing is good because it helps bad teams is reasonable.

What about a compromise where everyone starts with a FAAB budget of $250 but you get an extra $25 for every loss your team has? Or every team that made the playoffs last year starts with $250 and non-playoff teams start with $300.

My problem with non-faab is that if teams out of the playoff hunt checks out for the season by setting lineups but not picking up obvious players it helps the worst teams in the playoff hunt.

Yeah, that's a pretty cool wrinkle for adjusting FAAB based on record.

Imagine snagging Puka, Kyren, Nico and switching to Purdy from that dumpster fire TLaw half way through the season but still missing the playoffs cuz your first three picks were Barkley, Diggs and Andrews.

Finally succumbed to the Roschon Johnson hype and dumped Corum for him

Does Jacksonville ever call a pass play that isn't a low % fade that requires perfect ball placement?

by Henry_Sugar k

moving Bryce Young in dynasty for Kirk Cousins was the greatest moment of my life.

I know who you are.....😉
