2024 Fantasy Football Thread
Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of Jan
With Pacheco sitting, I ended up only needing 1 since I played Hunt. I went with Pollard due to his backfield share projection, even in what should have been a tough matchup. Bucky would have been my 2nd.
Javonte will probably have another good game or 2 by the end of the season, but he’s basically unplayable with his floor.
i need to fade ladd mcConkey tonight. if he gets 27 points PPR, I lose. if I can win i'll be 8-4, in first place.
and this league is way too high stakes for me. 10k buy in. and this is my first time playing.
even with a win though, my team is not that good. I'm 6th place in points scored, and this was before losing Chris Godwin

I'm scared. herbert is on fire. chargers have decided they now love passing. mcconkey is number one target. ravens give up tons of passing yards *puke*
I needed 7 points from Dobbins tonight in a .5ppr league to win and take over 1st place. He scored 7.4 before leaving the game.
32.40 from Jayden Daniels helped a bit also.
Those victories feel so good.

I'm scared for you ros. Hope you can squeak out a min cash.
Got what I needed from Zay/Ladd to fend off the Lamar/Justice/Andrews onslaught. Closing in on the bye.
Most fantasy-fun I’ve had in a while was this year having a 0-5 redraft team now sitting at 6-6 and on the brink of squeezing into the playoffs. Traded a lot once I hit 0-4.
1QB,2RB,3WR,1TE,1FLX - 0.5 PPR
Herbert, Love
Achane, Bucky, Tracy, Allgier, Braelen Allen
ARSB, JSN, Deebo, Jennings, Tank Dell
McBride, Taysom
Had a few misses (ex: traded away Chase Brown for Tank Dell after Diggs injury and before it was obvious to me Bengals could win games) but that’s fine. Don’t love having both Deebo & Jennings either but sitting both should be easy this week if no Purdy. Taysom as an every-week starter ROS should be fun too (and hopefully tilting for rest of the league).
Let's see if picking up and starting Dallas D/ST in both my leagues is gonna bite me in the ass
Here comes the bull **** from the Jets.

JSN breaking out makes you a dark horse. I tried to acquire him in the off-season. So mad I couldn't! Seattle is the next powerhouse team if only they can manage to improve their horrible OL.
Speaking of JSN. Also, lol Chase.
Surprised Reek isn't lower on the underperforming side.
The problem is that he isn’t really underperforming. He’s simply not involved like he used to be, so his actual and expected aren’t that far off.
Jonnu is just too good.
Yeah, a big part of it is how much McDaniel wants to get the ball in the hands of Jonnu and Achane. McDaniel basically called Jonnu a YAC God the other day lol.
I think the other part of it is how quickly they want the ball out of Tua's hands to avoid hits. Tua consistently gets the ball out of his hands fast, but I think it's even faster since he came back from the concussion.
Reek averaged 10 targets per game in his first two seasons with Miami. He's only at 6.75/gm this season. On top of that, Y/R and Y/Tgt are both down around 3 yards.
I think I may have assembled my best team ever in 29 years of playing fantasy football. It's my company league, 16 teams PPR. I'm 12-0. My starters heading into the playoffs ...
QB Murray W15 vs NE, Mahomes W16 vs Hou, Murray W17 @Rams
RB Barkley, Achane
WR Chase, Puka
TE McBride
Flex Conner W15 and W16, Harrison W17
Backup RB/WR/Flex: Conner/Harrison, Tillman; backup TE Kincaid, Benson as Conner insurance.
I've never had an undefeated team. I also tend to win more championships with teams I had to scramble, fight and claw to get to the playoffs than ones like these where I was able to build a super team, so we'll see!

That team is obscene for a 12 team league let alone 16. You said work league but how many of the 15 are active &/or knowledgeable about football?
While I'm not as confident about this take as I was last week about Waddle. I am leaning towards Tyreek being one of my highest leveraged plays for tomorrow's slate, but I'd be lying if I said the conditions don't make me nervous.

It is a gambling industry company, so I would think many. But observing their activity, I would say nine of the other 15. Whenever I'm a front-runner starting off undefeated through at least three games, I try to use it to my advantage by trading for injured or bye-week players with teams needing to win. It has worked out well in the 16-team league because many teams are desperate for RBs and I was like their RB shop, making 10 of the 12 trades in the league. I drafted JT, Achane, Conner and Chase Brown (also Godwin and Nabers). I lost Godwin for nothing, but it didn't affect my building. I also picked up Tracy and Hunt before they did anything, then traded them after they became viable starters. I picked up Warren when he was injured, then held him on my bench until this week, using him to upgrade Evans to Puka. I traded ARSB for CMC and Deebo while they were injured and on bye, then traded them for Chase when he was on bye. I traded JT away, then traded back for him while he was injured, then traded him away again after he came back. Achane and Conner are my only two players left from my draft.
God damn bowers is good. One of the best assets in all of dynasty/keeper
Bowers is a beast.
I have Bowers and McBride on one dynasty team. Started McBride this week. Started Bowers last week. lol.
But have Bowers on a redraft, at least.
