lol 3 unstacked QBs takes it down. None of them big rushers.

Didn’t leave much on the bench.

6/8 to hit the lineup were less than 15% owned. The other two chalk.

Had a little w17 correlation. Car/Bucs and Atl/Wash didn’t matter. SF/Det did.

3 rookies, 1 second year player, 1 third year player. Then the king, Goff, and Tee the guy you needed Higgins.

So a Bijan/Henry/Adams/McBride start.

It would be interesting to see the top 5-10 teams.

At least I got Bijan right lol

Converting the BBM winning team to DK scoring, it would've outscored the winning DK Milly team by about 5 points.

So don't give up on stacking.

Won all my leagues, which always feels good (and almost never happens). But my favorite win this year is the team that had Kamara hurt going into the finals:

Opponent starts Burrow - Ladd M - Nacua in that Saturday slot. They drop something like 96 between the three of them. To my 34 from Charb/ Chase/Kupp. I think Sleeper had me around 10%, lower at points. I had tried so hard to get Kupp out of the lineup all week too.

The Sunday comeback begins with 44.5 from Mayfield. Problem is my Adams only scores 9.6. His Barkley/Brown goes for 31 total, still can't get over 25% chance to win.

But then everything that can go wrong for him does. Jonnu, Scary Terry, Jacobs and Indy D combine for 20 between the four positions!

I counter with Bijan and Jefferson going for 40, setting up MNF with just my Kittle. Kittle delivered so hard!

Kittle and Baker were both in-season trades, and won the trophy. And they were both so cheap too (in dynasty). Congrats to everyone who won their leagues!

And btw, I KNEW that Colts D start was a trap. I was actually pretty happy my opponent had them in all week. I went Chargers D (and their 10 pts). I probably got fancy there and should have put Bills D in (on my bench). Rodgers really is cooked.

I feel for the thousands who lost their finals on that Colts D start. Nasty way to go.

Recap:

Big $ 2QB league - 3rd. Somehow squeezed into the playoffs even though my first 4 picks were Tyreek, Kyler, ARich, and Olave. Saved by McBride and Brian Thomas Jr late. #1 team had Jayden Daniels/Darnold as QBs and squashed me like a bug in the 2nd round.

Old work auction league - Spent half my budget on ARSB, AJ Brown, Davante Adams. Team was hot garbage but 8 of 12 teams made the playoffs and I got to the finals when those guys finally went off before getting squashed by Burrow/Tee stack.

Current work league - quite possibly the most frustrating fantasy experience i can remember. Most total points by more than 150, lost twice by less than a point, three other times by less than 3 points. Ended up 4th and squashed by Drew Lock.

Won a survivor for the first time ever thanks to the Panthers mini-revival.

Thanks again for all the content + advice here, y’all some sharps

Pretty disappointing end to my season, as none of my best ball finals teams were even close. I had some of the top scoring players like Lamar, Jayden, McBride, Nabers, etc., but just couldn't put it all together on one team. RB was mostly my downfall. The Achane, Conner, and Chuba runouts were brutal. Spears and Charbs in good spots and not doing enough. And on the one team where I had Gibbs/Bijan, my WRs and TEs weren't enough.

And even having Lions on multiple squads last night, I finished the night worse than where I started.

Big Board:

Spoiler
Show

Love, Daniels
Achane, Conner, Singletary, Lloyd, Kendre, Shipley
Chase, Nabers, Rome, Terry, Curtis, Dotson, Burton, Washington, Melton
McBride, Jonnu, Kraft

Finished 432/558

Poodle:

Spoiler
Show

Lamar, Goff
Bijan, Gibbs, Benson, Lloyd, Tracy
Flowers, Worthy, Godwin, Diontae, Jamo, Adonai, Bateman, Kalif
Schultz, Juwan, Likely

Finished 129/310

Hound Dog:

Spoiler
Show

Lamar, Levis
Achane, Moss, Spears, Dowdle, Chuba, Khalil
ARSB, Evans, BTJ, Nuk, Sutton, Jeudy, DRob, E Moore
McBride, Muth

Finished 24/104

Puppy 2:

Spoiler
Show

Lamar, Geno
Achane, Conner, Spears, Charbs, Chandler, Pierce
JJ, Diggs, Reed, Rice, JSN, DeMario, Tez
Njoku, Likely, Gesicki

Finished 263/280

Puppy Superflex:

Spoiler
Show

Lamar, Dimes, Nix, Mac
JT, Kyren, Javonte, Dowdle, Khalil, Ali
ARSB, Nico, Flowers, Nuk, BTJ, Sutton, Downs
Likely, Chig, Juwan

Finished 163/280

I'm already looking forward to draft season starting up in a month but also looking forward to a break haha. Based on some of the ADP predictions so far, I think it'll be another year of zero/hero RB. 1.01 Saquon, end of first Henry, mid second Cook, mid second Mixon, etc. are all going to be tough clicks.

I'll be smashing the second year WRs. Bowers, I'm still not sure what to think. He's going to be a late 1st/early 2nd, and he showed he's probably worth that price. But he really needs to separate to make it viable. I guess it'll ultimately depend on the QB situation and who he's catching balls next to. He’ll definitely be more appealing on DK than UD.

Feels like some interesting moves to be made in dynasty in the offseason. Lots of buy lows.

I found as usual, the vets largely came cheap and won rings for owners. Still seems like the most exploitable part of dynasty.

I was dumb not to grab Thielen though. I wouldn't have had such a sweat!

The good ole 4-7-5-2. This is a wild build.

Looking at this again. Every single player he drafted had W17 correlation.

Winner of the DK Milly with each player's Madden 25 rating (at launch).

The only noticeable trends I saw were

1. No one rated below 70
2. Any players rated below 80 were taken past R10, with the exception of BTJr who is a rookie anyways.

How do you figure?

Goff/Monty and Pearsall
Henry/Hill and no Houston
Bucky and Bryce
Tee and no Denver
BTJ/Gabe and Nuk.
McBride and no Rams
Bijan/Mooney and Dotson/Sinnott.
Herbert and no Pats
Adams and no Saints
Mostert and no Browns
Theo and no Colts

Ignore the Tweet context, but here is the BBM winner draft board. The team was drafted on June 20th.

He crushed from rounds 2-11. Pacheco the only pick that didn't work out. Pretty impressive to mainly ride JT, Conner, and Brown.

And then Ricky in round 12, hits the lineup in the finals.

Chandler and Burton were wastes.

Thielen another big value.

Then Fant, Juwan, and DeRob had to hit the lineup a few times.

ADPs of this team by 8/30 (closest I've got).

Chase - 4.9
JT - 14.8
DeVonta - 27.7
Tee - 43.3
Pacheco - 32.2
Kittle - 64.9
BTJ - 71.6 (I'm going to miss this)
Burrow - 88.4
Conner - 75.6 (Insane value here)
Purdy - 112.6
Brown - 100.1 (Insane value here)
Pearsall - 158
Chandler - 138.5
Burton - 183.8
Thielen - 157.2
Fant - 166.1
Juwan - 195.8
DeRob - 175.5

So basically gained value everywhere except Pearsall and Burton. It pays to draft early.

sorry heels I was looking at it wrong

All good, you had me second guessing for a minute so I had to go through it haha.

First time doing Best Ball after learning some strategy for the specific format.

Tarheels - thx for the advice and referral!

With draft kings best ball season now over and it removing themselves from the UK it's looking like I won't be able to play any large field best ball tourneys next year.

If anyone hears of anywhere offering best ball in the UK for next season please can you let me know.

Looks like Drafters might be, but they only offer season long weeks 1-17 contests for regular season best ball.

This guy is UK based.

Saw that DK now has $3 playoff bestballs so I'll be loading up on those once the final teams are figured out.

I think my basic strategy is to get a QB from KC, BAL, PHI, or DET as those are the teams I feel most strongly will make the SB.

Lamar
Pacheco, Hill, Najee
ARSB, Devonta, Ladd, Bateman, Hollywood, Mcmilan
Andrews, Otton

I think you want to consolidate teams more than that.

Best case SB would barely fill out a full lineup.

Lamar
Hill
Bateman, McMillan
Andrews, Otton

It’s a tough balance between playing to have the most upside and live players in the finals while also trying to advance.

This. I’ve already done a ton and playoff best ball is hard af .

And a lot of time I just cut bait on winning it all and just make sure I advance cause other people mess up my draft by taking my guys.

Definitely. There is a lot of variance with rooms and you really have to think through things.

But a lot of people say it might be the most profitable format, due to all of the suboptimal teams being drafted. Especially since a lot of them may be good enough to advance then just dead in rounds 2 and 3.

I think volume is important since some of your teams will be blown up from the start. And you really need to find the right combos.

yeah it's tough. What about going in with one team in mind to make the SB. Let's say, the Chiefs. So grab Mahomes and then any pick where I'm not taking someone from KC, I would draft someone from the NFC.

Is it necessary to get 2 QBs, 1 from each conference, just to hedge?
