2024 Fantasy Football Thread
Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of Jan
It just means I'm going to draft him harder if he falls. Their first game is 33 days away.
I built a fun CMC team earlier from the 1.03. Tons of good value in the early rounds.
Stroud, Trevor, Nix
CMC, C Brown, Benson, Charb, Allgeier, Estime
London, Nico, Tank, Godwin, BTJ, Gabe, McMillan, Tez
Andrews, Jonnu, Mayer
It looks great but I'm not drafting on DK anymore so I'm not in tuned with it.
BBM pick 10.
I was hoping to get Herbert or Cousins as my number two but I pushed both and they didn't make it back. I'm gambling that Nix will win the job even though Stidham has had the best camp by most reports. Denver has to see what they got knowing they will have an early pick probably next year. Do you grab an unstacked Carr or B Young with the last pick for insurance?
I bought the dip for J Burton and Franklin both who dropped two rounds in ADP. I'm not overly concerned when a talented WR is down the depth chart early in camp. If they are good they will move up if not they are my 8th and 9th receiver.
QB) Hurts, Nix
RB) Cook, Warren, Corum, Ekeler, J Wright
WR) AJ, Deebo, Diggs, Palmer, G Davis, M Wilson, Mims, Burton, Franklin
TE) Pitts, Ferguson.
Built a unique team (for me) in bbm
Qb - Tua, Watson, Cousins
Rb - Achane, R White, C Brown, Singletary, Pierce
Wr - Reek, Nabers, Amari, JSN, Mooney, McMillan, LMC, M Washington
Te - Andrews, Njoku
Considered stopping at 4 RBs, but felt like Pierce was worth a shot in 17

Seems solid to me

Unstacked late if you need early week floor seems fine. I like Dimes since he theoretically has rushing upside. Granted, we are assuming that still exists after the ACL, which I'm willing to bet on.
I still expect Nix to start w1. Stidham is worse than Zach Wilson who I feel confident is worse than Nix.
Fun squad.

Yeah, I think 5 was a good decision. That room has too many weekly floor outcomes to stop at 4. I probably let Cousins go and either get to 6 RBs or 9 WRs.
I'm not following news this year but if Fields is getting hype due to his throwing prowess beware. All his upside is with his feet, dude is a terrible QB. Nothing is going to change that. If Arthur Smith was smart (he's not), he's implement the triple wing offense or something and just turn the kid into a rb. 220 2td is dream game for fields.
It’s mainly just a late round QB bet against Russ combined with Fields’s weekly upside.
All the RBs I liked kept getting sniped. I was able to get Fant a full round past ADP which was nice.
QB - Tua, Caleb, Fields
RB - Moss, Ford, Allgeier, Gibson, Hill, Mason
WR - Reek, Waddle, Devonta, Pickens, Odunze, Quentin, McMilan, Jefferson
TE - Andrews, Kmet, Fant

The RB room is not quite strong enough to stop at 4. Achane will be up and down. The Chase Brown roll is still unknown. If you started CMC/Kyren or Breece/Taylor with Brown and Singletary you could do it. You are betting on the top two guy's hitting your lineup each week.
This is exactly how I like to construct my QB room when I pass on the elites. You have three solid QB's all capable of giving you a spike week. You should have a high weekly floor with this group. All three are nicely stacked.
What were the available WR's when you picked Njoku? It would be nice to have one more solid guy after JSN. One of the advantages of taking an Andrews is that you can wait on a back up TE. That being said, I know WR's dry up around that area and your TE room is fantastic. I don't hate Mooney as your number 5 given you are stacked in other areas.
Overall this is a very good team.
I entered my final Rottweiler last night and didn't realize it was a slow draft. Like an idiot I sat there for five minutes thinking there must be technical issues or something. Did they switch this to a slow draft only like they did the other contest?
How long do these things take to finish?
Does the time to pick speed up as we get to the later rounds?

Shakir, Nuk, Palmer were the next 3 drafted
I have 17% Nuk so I’m trying not to take anymore given the new risks. I’m fine with Palmer, but kinda wanted to correlate and I don’t have a ton of Njoku. I don’t normally go “bully-ish” but sometimes Im into it
This guy has been scooping Aiyuk to Pit for days. No idea who he is, but he has a solid track record of correct inside scoops.
I think that would be good for me
I have 7% Aiyuk, 4% Pickens which would be hurt, but I have like 30% Deebo + Kittle and 8% Pearsall all who go up in value I’d think. 7% cmc too
I’m guessing it helps pit RBs as their offense goes up too

I've done a ton of these builds this year, primarily with Bowers, Njoku or Goedert as the second option. I rarely will go two in the first 6-7 rounds.
With the elite guys being rounds 4-6, I really don't feel like I'm giving up much taking my second TE in rounds 8-10, especially since it opens up another roster spot by definitely not needing a third TE.
Once Goedert is off the board, I really hate the options (other than Muth) in the next few rounds. I'm very underweight Schultz, Kmet, Musgrave, Hock. And now unfortunately, Muth isn't looking so good either with the Aiyuk rumors.
Elite + Henry, Conklin, Otton, Jonnu, etc. can work, but I feel like it's such a nice floor/ceiling combo having two top 10 round guys.
Lol, 49ers might be panic selling.
Yeah, mid to late third round. DJM, Diggs, Flowers, Tank Dell range. Pickens probably needs to fall to the mid to late 6th near the bottom of the WR range.
In theory, Aiyuk and Pickens should help each other out with coverage having to account for both of them. But the problem is, regardless of whether it's Russ or Fields at QB, we know passing volume will be low.
With that said, the 49ers were one of the lowest passing volume teams in the league last year. Aiyuk putting up 1,300 and 7 on 105 targets is pretty ridiculous. But no way the Steelers will be as efficient.
Kittle and Deebo seem like the biggest beneficiaries here. However, neither of them can really move up THAT much. Deebo is already going mid to early 2nd. I think he could possibly move all the way up to 1.09, but overall, it's not that much of a material difference. Although, no longer being able to pair him with ARSB, Breece, Bijan, AJB, etc. can make a difference, especially in a contest like BBM. There will be a lot of early teams with Deebo at the 2/3 turn.
In theory, Kittle should move up a lot, but I feel like the ceiling is the McBride/Andrews/Kincaid range.
Pearsall should also get a big bump, and we are still playing for the end of season ev, but the fact he's had a shoulder injury that has now been reaggravated when he already wasn't that great of a prospect in the first place doesn't give off good vibes.
My current 9ers sans Aiyuk
Purdy - 10%
Guerrendo - 15%
Mitchell - 12%
CMC - 3%
Mason - 1%
Deebo - 13%
Pearsall - 10%
Jennings - 10%
Kittle - 13%
Not much of a fantasy impact at this point, but sounds like a serious injury for Rondale. Air cast on leg and taken to a medical facility. The rest of practice was cancelled.
Treylon Burks is injured again too lol.
Probably just means we need to get more Mooney, as gross as it sounds lol.
