Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of Jan

I always come back to this post, when thinking about rookies. These stats also include 2nd year players.

Would you prioritize...

1. 2nd year players in secure roles (BTJ, Caleb, Jayden, Drake, etc.)
2. Vets under 30 in secure roles
3. High upside rookies
4. Players in ambiguous roles (CLE/JAX RBs and GB WRs come to mind)

I think 2nd year ascending players are my favorite ones to target.

High upside rookies and vets under 30 in secure roles certainly have their place.

I'm trying to avoid more ambiguous situations this season, especially on offenses I don't think will be good. Cle being a good example. I'll mix in Jax RBs and GB WRs, but I don't really want to be overweight any single player in those spots. With that said, when targeting those situations, I'm probably going to have the most of Tuten and Golden as rookie upside chasers.

I’m not on board with Bryant or TeSlaa yet haha.

About 7 minutes on Bryant and TeSlaa here. Some pretty interesting info, especially on Bryant. Starts around 43:40.

They also did a day 1 coachspeak pod. It's not the most exciting listen, but there is a lot of good info that's pulled from the pressers.

They'll also be doing a day 3 pod.

Where is Travis Hunter currently going - is he sliding up or down boards?

Mostly in the late 30s to early 40s. I've seen him go early 20s in a couple.

DK is thirsty haha.

I’ve mostly seen mid 40s to early 50s on UD. I expect his final ADP will be in the 30s.

I think my biggest stands right now are going to be

Fading Walker III, which means I'll probably want to be slightly overweight on Charb, but I'm not sure by how much yet. I guess 10%-12% if the line on the Seahawks total points isn't great, and 15%-17% if it's pretty good.

Overweight on Felton and Shipley. Basically I'm drafting them anytime their exposure drops below 25%

Shipley should be 3-5 rounds higher. I wonder how long it’ll take the market to fix it. Hopefully not for a while.

Yeah and I still want some exposure to Dillon too. He wasn't great in his last season with GB, but I'm willing to give him a pass since that was his only really bad season and he's just turning 27.

I'll probably wait for Shipley's price to go up though.

I think I'll probably have 0% Dillon. Maybe later this summer if we get signal on him, I'll mix him in a little bit.

But he finished the 2023 season missing time with a neck stinger, missed the 2024 season with a neck stinger, and signed a contract of $1,170,000 with only $162,500 guaranteed. He could easily just get cut and/or suffer a reinjury of his neck.

Shipley was tied as my highest pre-draft RB at 13%.

So is that saying you should max it? I'm not the best at math, but getting 300 DK bucks last year when I maxed didn't feel like a good reward.

Sounds like $300 DK bucks is the same rakeback this season for maxing, effectively making rake 5%.

Why do you care whether it’s DK bucks or cash if you’re going to play the DK games either way? Or are you saying 10% of your entries back isn't a good enough reward for you for maxing?

the latter.

But again maybe it is a good deal and I'm just not seeing it.

Just got into a draft with Liam that he's streaming

Nice, let us know how it turns out.

Two star methods, a falling Dak, and some tilt led me into this lovely build lol. 3-6-6-3. I guess it could work. I'm still getting used to drafting two at once with the 20 second clocks. That **** moves fast.

I assume drafting Woody as RB3 was a result of the tilt.

Mine was okay other than ending up with a Giants stack.

Herbert, Ward, Dart

Chuba, Tracy, Pacheco, Allen, Shipley, Gordon II

JJ, Hill, Tet, Ridley, Odunze, Tre, K. Williams, Slayton, Gabe

McBride, Strange

I really am trying to avoid doing stuff like that until we get some training camp reports, but I just couldn’t click Tyler Lockett lol

I hear ya. For me, I just think he's awesome and I still think there's a slightly > 0 chance that Addison misses some time. Looks like he's got another court date on May 12th.

Woody was star method autoing on me since he was in my queue haha. Same with Goedert. Taking Dak was part of the tilt and so was just cornering myself into 3-6-6-3 lol.

That one seems good.

Elijah Moore clickable now on Allen teams? The Bills WR room is so gross lol. But don’t tell that to Beane. He might freak out.

He’s certainly got a path. Even if Addison doesn’t miss time, all he has to do is beat out Nailor and Rondale.

The Vikings only had 5 picks, so that tells you that were pretty into Felton. KOC specifically said they drafted him to bring some competition into the room.

I was into him before the draft, and a little more when I heard he had visits with WAS and I think GB and DAL as well. I know when the draft was going on the Ravens and Bills fans were tweeting how much they wanted their teams to draft him.

Free agents over the last 2 seasons that were signed after the draft...
