2024 Fantasy Football Thread
Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of Jan
I think everything looks good. Only item I'd push back on is 3, where I don't think stacking is necessary at all, especially team stacking. QB/pass catcher seems okay if you fall into it, but it might actually be negatively correlated in that contest especially for your highly drafted players, since all you care about is beating one team and one down week can sink you. CD co
You could definitely be right. I'm gonna do one more today and see if I can limit my stacks to see how it looks.
I may actually do more of these over the Puppies. I'm sure my EV is way lower, but it's more fun.
Took Henry since I have very little and the combo with Puka will be super low owned. Also, my 3rd (out of 10) Reek/Waddle team without Tua which could be somewhat unique.
Baker, Love, Dart
Henry, Harvey, Tracy, Allgeier, Shipley, Eli
Puka, Reek, Evans, Waddle, Golden, McMillan, Tillman, Slayton
Andrews, Kraft, Arroyo
Dak and Tlaw at qb. Fine at RB and strong at WR already
JJM falls to pick 175, nearly 40 picks past ADP… do you take him and back stack Felton?
Ended up taking JJM
Dak, Tlaw, JJM
JT, Pollard, Skattebo, Bigsby, Shipley
CD, Mclaurin, Hunter, Waddle, Rome, Mooney, Felton
Ferguson, Strange, Chig
I probably pass on JJM with already having Dak and TLaw. I'm not a fan of sacrificing a greater need for a lesser one in the name of ADP value.
Although I'm guilty of it myself.
Another Eliminator. All feels pretty solid outside of RB which is certainly the weakest room. I'd feel a lot better if Judkins and Sampson somehow ended up sucking and Ford was the guy.
Jayden, JJM
Breece, RJ, Tracy, Bigsby, LLoyd, Ford
Nico, BTJ, Ridley, Reed, Pittman, Palmer, Felton
Engram, Muth, Juwan
So I'm in recruiting and got some feedback on a candidate, "Not moving forward"
I literally almost replied with, "Why are you fading them?"
What are your thoughts on Tyreek Hill in best ball? Vibes seem really bad. He said in an interview he wants to be traded, a lot of baby mommas, I don’t think his head is in it this year.
2025 props
ADP DraftKings: 31
Receiving yard o/u: 980.5
Touchdown o/u: 7.5
2024 props
ADP DraftKings: 2
Receiving yards o/u: 1350.5
Touchdown o/u: 8.5
His 2025 props are higher than Higgins, Mclaurin, Adams, Pickens and waddle
I was full fading at first but his player props started making me take some shares. What’s the likelihood he’s traded?
I'm the wrong person to ask, but I really like Tyreek as 2/3 turn player.
Owner and GM have already said they had no interest in trading him, and I feel they've been pretty honest about stuff like this in the past. That said we have no idea what's going to happen and if the team completely sucks, then maybe a trade is on the table before the deadline.
I'd say mix in some Tyreek teams without Tua just in case he is traded.

Definitely a lot of downside for many reasons. A trade could also possibly yield a better situation, especially if the offense is similar to last year.
Ultimately, if you’re drafting at volume, I think you should have Reek’s upside in your portfolio at least close to even.
Speaking of Reek. I keep trying to fade Miami players for a few drafts at a time, but it's so hard when they let him fall to the 3/4 turn.
Baker, Stroud
Kamara, Pollard, Najee, Dowdle, Wright, Shipley, Moss
ARSB, Nico, Tyreek, Evans, Shaheed, Kirk, Tolbert, Felton
LaPorta, Otton, Theo

I’m targeting 4-6%. I think it’s very likely he’s cooked, but obv the upside makes me not want to be at 0
I was 12% pre and am like 10% post. My problem is all of the WRs that go in that range have holes and downside risk. And none of them have Reek’s upside.
It’s just tough for me to go JSN, Wilson, MHJ, Terry, etc when Reek is there. But I’m forcing myself to mix it up, or else I’d have like 25% Reek lol. And I don’t really want that either.
I’d rather fail with Reek than log 80, 1k, and 6 with JSN.

My thoughts exactly. Which also makes me think if Reek does bust, then maybe one of Josh/Lamar/Jayden is actually the right play.
I have 13% Reek pre-draft and 17% post.
Just saw pick 38 JSN. I could get on board there.

I just take Rashee, JSN or rb haha
I'm close to double the field on Rashee haha. But I also don't want to go overboard on him. Once Bucky goes, I'm not as excited about Chase, Kyren, etc. Especially in the top half of the 3rd. I have a good bit of Davante too.
JSN's price scares me for a lot of reasons. Forced outside because of Kupp, Darnold, Milroe, coaches, run first, bad team, etc.
Ah yeah I take a lot of Adams too
This is one of those perfectly cromulent teams.
Fields, Stafford, Geno
Breece, Harvey, Jones, Mondre, Hunter
Nico, London, Davante, Odunze, Aiyuk, Bech, Slayton
Engram, Taylor, Higbee
I'm kind of digging the 3-5-7-3 balanced build. Herbert with a weak stack, but he was 18 picks past ADP. Tua was 10.
Love, Herbert, Tua
Bijan, Bucky, BRob, Tank, Lloyd
Reek, Hunter, Flowers, Deebo, Golden, Pittman Dyami
Andrews, Ertz, Dissly
3-5-7-3 for life! I've got 6 W17 stacks, but only one of them is with the QB.
Mahomes, Stafford, Shough
Bucky, Jones, Najee, Guerendo, Roschon
Puka, Rice, Sutton, DeVonta, Olave, Kirk, TeSlaa
Jonnu, Kincaid, Gray
Me, of all people, forgetting to stack Felton.
Nix, JJM, Stafford
Bijan, RJ, Mason, Blue, Corum, Sanders
Wilson, Adams, Sutton, Diggs, Mims, Palmer, Atwell
LaPorta, Henry
Missing that stack isn’t good for the brand.
I blame it on UD's crappy UI lol
