2024 Fantasy Football Thread

Yeah, in theory elite upside at the onesies is how you want to play 8 man. But the elites haven't exactly been separating so far haha.

6/8 make the playoffs, so I'm really playing for the bye + weeks 15-17. I still feel good having those options/blocking other teams. I'm 4-1 and currently 2/8. And then we have a regular season high scorer bonus for 25% of the PP, where I'm also 2/8.

I got a lot wrong last year but that was because I was listening too much to the guy's who people on here worship. I've been pretty spot on this year although I am seriously thinking of putting my info behind a paywall. The problem is I don't get credit when I am right. Week two I made the fantasy call of the year telling you all to play Troy Franklin and Tyquon Thornton. They both went off at around 1% ownership. You guy's could have made big bucks if you were able to check your anger.

Tried to make a more reasonable trade in my 14tm dynasty league but kept getting rejected

So I finally caved and made a bad trade (which doesn’t matter bc I’m leaving soon)

Fields is going to let you down when you need him to show up later in the year but in an 8 man I'm guessing there has to be a Jennings equivalent floating around most of the time?

Can someone explain how they see things shaking out between Haskins and Vidal and why?

My gut feeling is Haskins gets an opportunity this week, sucks and Vidal gets a shot

Ultimately I think they both are probably terrible, but think Vidal has more upside

I also think it’ll be some type of time share regardless

Haskins went for $24 in my league (me, Hampton owner)
Vidal went for $2

So obviously, Haskins will work out. 😃

What makes this particular software better / different than other tools?

Hey guys, just seeing if anyone had opinions/theories in regards to doing 3 man best ball drafts compared to doing the usual 10 or 12 man drafts.

My usual build for 10 or 10 man drafts (QB/WR/RB/TE) is 2-8-6-2 for an 18 round draft. That may vary depending on how early I draft my first QB or TE, or how stacked I maybe at WR or RB.

In the 3 man drafts, I've noticed alot of people drafting 3 QBs and 3 TEs, although I think that is a mistake personally. I'm just wondering what do you guys think about any changes in roster construction for 3 man best ball drafts? I noticed I've been going with 3 QBs quite often, even if I get an early QB, just to try and ensure a high score in that position. The format is a 4 week season also, so having 1 of 2 QBs on bye would leave you more vulnerable to a low score that week.

I haven't really believed in drafting 3 TEs if you have one stud to depend on, just because the TE position is the lowest scoring position in general. It feels like there is potential to overspend at that position and then still end up with a low score, so I have just been going with 2 fairly decent ones and being ok with that.

I'll let you know. I'm doing 150 lineups tonight. Then 350-500 on Sunday.

I’ll be doing quite a bit of unstacked Love this week.

I've got him in 3 of 6 so far.

You got lucky missing on Love here. This is gonna be a Jacobs game. This could be a one or two TD game by the Packer defense against the statue/turnover machine Flacco. I do not get the excitement for Jordon Love this week. There are just too many ways this game can go. Sure he could have a huge game. I think it's more likely he has an okay game. I also think it's quite likely he isn't asked to do much in this one. I'd much prefer Baker. I don't love the Henry pick but he can always bust a long one. I assume he was simply the best available.

It seems to me if you don't get Taylor or Puka you are dust this week in BR's. It seems a Puka/Achane start would be ideal. I get the Jacobs and Jeanty picks. You still have a chance with these guys based on their match ups.

I think Haskins starts and gets the majority of the carries while Vidal gets a few carries and the 3rd down work. Kinda like Michael Carter and Demercado split. Don’t think you want to be starting either unless desperate with their offensive line injuries

So far every QB that's played the Bengals this year has had either their best or 2nd best fantasy game.

Playing Love naked actually makes a lot of sense since none of GB's WR's have higher than a 17% target share
