Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of Jan

I was pretty high on Bo relative to the market (had him ranked in his own tier as the 4th best qb in the draft)

He has looked pretty solid, but benefits from being in a system that fits him v well and the protection of a good ol…

Even with his success I still have him ranked as the 4th best qb in this class, I don’t really think you can say someone at his age and profile can ever be better than an average- above avg qb in this league (Goff is probably his best case scenario and even that would be pretty unlikely)

He’s still solid and I’d be happy if my team had him, but just don’t think he has the upside of the other 3 top rookies. Even JJ probably has more upside, especially given landing spot

Traded Jamo for Chase Brown in dynasty on a team that needed a second rb. Feel good about it, but the ETR trade calc for dynasty says I got destroyed

How am I doing? I can’t tell if I’m being too aggressive

It’s start 10 SF ppr 1.5tep

My team

Qb - Allen, Lamar, Geno, Levis, Rush

Rb - Henry, C Brown, Pollard, Dowdle, Warren, R Davis, Chubb, Hill, Mason

Wr - AJB, Nabers, G Wilson, Pickens, Sutton, Ridley, Kirk, Keon, Diontae, Boutte, Tyquan, Nailor

Te - Andrews, Likely, Jonnu, Musgrave

Taxi - Milton, Whittington, Vaki

Picks - 26 3rd, 26 4th, 27 3rd, 27 4th

Based on physical skills I don't think Bo has the upside of the top three. At this point I don't know what type of football IQ these guy's have so I would agree they currently have more upside. I do think Bo's special sauce is his football IQ. I am very impressed with the strength of his arm given what was being said about him. Young QB's often gain strength in their arm as they mature as a player. I wouldn't be shocked if he ends up being the best of the bunch. Right now I would put my money on Drake Maye being the best. Usually after year 3 is when we know. They all seem to be pretty darn good. We haven't even seen what Penix and JJ can do. This may end up as being one of the best QB drafts ever.

I think Drew Brees with more athleticism is Bo's upside. I'm not saying there is a high percentage chance of this but I do think it's achievable. I could see a more athletic Goff with a lesser arm. Maybe Brock Purdy.

Going to be tough to top 20, but this class has potential.

I think Bo is playing well and am certainly not saying he doesn’t have a future. I just think when you start questioning draft position this early or knocking players for the mental this early, based on really minor anecdotes, it’s premature. Which is how this convo began.

If Payton was drafting in the top 3, I don’t think he takes Bo. But he certainly liked Bo over JJ based on the alleged “smoke screen” reports. And I doubt he takes Penix over Bo.

Jamo for Brown is a slam dunk. Trade calc is not appropriately balancing the now for the assumed future, which I don’t think should be assumed at all. Brown is one of the few workhorses right now. Brown is also showing a potential to produce well beyond this season. Jamo’s future is a low target earning field stretcher.

Your team can get it done. Josh and Lamar is sick. Upgrading from your current RB2 to Brown is massive. Having to play one of your top 6 receivers instead of Jamo is at worst breakeven.

Hopefully you can pick the right TE each week haha.

Sunday feels like a 120/2 game for Waddle.

On 2 targets and 2 catches?

I like this trade in the short term but not nearly as bullish as Heels for the future.

Jamo is a Tyreek Hill skillset being used as a 4/5th scoring option on the best offense in football. He will probably only be a Lion one more year (surely they prioritize extending Hutchinson and Joseph) then he will likely move to a team that wants to use him as a 1rst or 2nd option and his numbers could explode.

Brown plays on a team that doesn't seem to value OL at all and they will likely be drafting RB next year to share the workload. My guess is his career as a every down back is probably gonna be limited to 2024

There are certainly scenarios where Jamo is the better long term asset. But I’m just not sure I ever see him being a high target earner, even on a different team. I’m still pretty low on him overall from a dynasty perspective. I’d also be surprised if the Lions don’t pick up his 5YO, so that’s at least 2 more seasons. And I do think they like him enough to spend quality effort trying to come to an extension agreement. But it could be tough given their roster.

The Bengals will likely draft or bring in another RB, but they really should allocate the higher value picks and money to the defense, o line, etc. So even if they do bring in someone else, it could be a scenario where Brown is the 1a 65%+ guy with a spell back. I will say, one pretty big risk Brown does have is likely new coaches, but those coaches could also like him. The Bengals just have so many other needs beyond RB, especially with the investments into Burrow, Chase, and potentially Tee.

Brown is top 5 ROS, and I’ll just take that, plus bet he can hold good production value moving forward versus what Jamo has shown us.

Bijan on a bye, Hunt looks like he'll be frozen out now Pacheco is back? So I have to decide between starting Pollard or Javonte Williams as my 2nd RB

Can't trust those Denver RBs but i'm leaning Javonte anyway

I like Pollard

Yeah, I'm between Javonte, Pollard and Bucky in one league. No idea who to play.

I think Lamb plays one or two more games before shutting it down for the year.

I'm playing Bucky, so you should probably pick between the other two. 😆

I'm also benching Deebo for Jamo which means Deebo goes off for 30 this week. :p

I like pollard this week. His production dipped the last two weeks since spears came back but with spears prob out with a concussion he is likely going to see a ton of volume again

Yeah, I actually now need 2 of Javonte, Pollard and Bucky, since I sat Tillman last night. At least whoever I choose can't do much worse than Tillman lol.

LMAO @ me for picking up Ameer Abdullah, no plans to use him but my opponent is stuck with Devin Singletary for RB2 so kinda convinced myself this move made some sense.

I have a two QB league where I’m barely in the playoff line and spent the rest of my FAAB on Drake Maye and Jameis to force my opponent to start Tommy Cutlets and Cooper Rush.

I’m sure this will backfire in hilarious fashion.

Still got a quarter left to play

You can thank me for dropping him yesterday for Ameer, assuming that Waddle would have his usual 3/42 game.

Played against Saquon this week and his (assuming, never know against these pathetic Rams) last touchdown turning my 6 point win into a 10 point loss and me with an empty receiver slot while Burrow, Higgins, Chase Brown, Davante and Kamara look on from the bench.

Chances are I am still going to win the league, but imagine going Ja'Marr/Saquon instead of ASRB/Gibbs. God, just shoot me now.

Would you look at that? If I kept Waddle, I would have won. Lol, me, finding the only line that loses.

Curious who you ended up going with

With Pacheco sitting, I ended up only needing 1 since I played Hunt. I went with Pollard due to his backfield share projection, even in what should have been a tough matchup. Bucky would have been my 2nd.

Javonte will probably have another good game or 2 by the end of the season, but he’s basically unplayable with his floor.

I dropped Waddle for Addison so it didn't hurt me in my matchup. Who do you think is better ROS though? They both seem pretty boom/bust

i need to fade ladd mcConkey tonight. if he gets 27 points PPR, I lose. if I can win i'll be 8-4, in first place.

and this league is way too high stakes for me. 10k buy in. and this is my first time playing.

even with a win though, my team is not that good. I'm 6th place in points scored, and this was before losing Chris Godwin

3WR league

brock purdy
gibbs
Jonathon taylor
brian robinson
pickens
Brian thomas jr
hopkins
odunze
pittman
mcbride
dissley
tyjae spears

I'm scared. herbert is on fire. chargers have decided they now love passing. mcconkey is number one target. ravens give up tons of passing yards *puke*
