Gloabl Poker Needs to Clean Up Their Tournaments (Entry to Prize Ratio)
Whomever thought this was a good idea; Fire them. No seriously; fire them. Get rid of them.
Mystery Bounty tournaments are also complete dog crap lottos.
With mystery bounty; you must first make ITM status; then, you're still out of the money unless you're top 9 or better, and if you don't knock a player out; all the effort to get to final table can still result in a net loss.
Clearly we want the biggest prize to go to first; and yes; you can make a lot of money in theory; it's way more like a lotto than poker, due to the need and requirement to knock people out at final table. Sometimes the only player I knock out at final table is guy in 2nd, sometimes I knock out 6. It's not so much up to me as it is luck of the draw. Sometimes I'm knocked out no bounty collected.
Here's where I land on this; if you can get to final table and be in negative profit; you need to change the structure of payout. Even if it means only taking 40% of entry fee for mystery bounty; and 60% for placing.
Personally; I just don't play these that often (never the one pictured; sometimes i play mystery bounty; but it's not because I want to; it's usually the only tourney running at select times)
Am I overreacting to SC 500 for 11 SC entry; or is this as ugly as I see it? (Keep in mind; with players first would be roughly $100)

Prize pool is based on total entries. Not sure what ratio you are talking about. The prize pool guarantee is just a risk the site is taking that helps get more entries but also requires the tourney to draw X number of players to before they start losing money. Sometimes there is overlay which is basically everyone paying less rake. Yes Global is a smaller site and you wont find $11 MTTs with massive fields all the time. If you want big fields go play on ACR against the bot rings.
As far a Mystery Bounties go, if you dont like them dont play them. Most recs love them and the site wouldn't run them unless they were popular. I wouldn't be against more going to the prize pool and less toward the bounties. It does require a different strategy than normal MTTs though. You can't just nit your way through the field and profit. You have to go after those bounties and be willing to gambol, both early on to get a big stack for when the bounties start, and then once they are in play.

Prize pool is not based on total entries; not how that works here for this tournament; the prize pool is 500; minimum players that need to sign up is 5 IIRC.
These tourneys routinely fail to attract players; so why is it muddying the screen up?

Yes it is how it works, for every tournament. In your example, $500 is the minimum guaranteed prize pool, but if it gets over 50 entries, then it gets larger. If it doesn't get 50 entries, then the prize pool is larger than is "should be", we call that overlay and its good for the player. And if it doesn't have 5 entries at the start, it doesn't run and refunds everyone who registered.
You just seem to want to play on a site with many large field MTTs, and Global isn't the site for that.

You're making a lot of assumptions. Not going to engage with bullshit straw mans.
There is very clearly a ratio of entry cost to minimum prize pool; the smallest ones are trash and fail to draw competitors; it's making the tourney screen look like ****. That's my issue with it; if people played it; then whatever, they don't though. they routinely get cancelled.
There are also plenty of 1300+ player tourneys on global. Using ACR isn't viable; because again; because you're a dumbass, you made assumptions.
Your engagements with others is very strange. Ledn is a well respected poster in the strategy threads and is simply answering your question. You calling him a dumas is a complete over reaction.
You went off on me earlier for suggesting you start a blog instead of starting bad threads. Now I see you have a blog in the brags section. Your chat fights are hysterical and reflect you have a good sense of humor.
You seem to be a newbie with a big chip on your shoulder. If I am correct, there is a lot of free strategy and advice here that you can take advantage of on your poker journey, if you don’t catch a permaban.

And after posting some great results, read "Discussion of poker sites" thread about online rigged poker. How quick it all turns.

I'll probably catch a permaban to be honest; im pretty toxic; i just admit it. Thanks for admiring my humor; I do have a bad attitude on an off day though, and I'm sorry for that; and I will likely get banned if I don't watch it; I know that. I've been banned from every platform I've ever used. (Including this one)

We're each entitled to our own opinion; and I do find some things strange; working out whether it's variance or something else is beyond me. Some people make good points; like the patent on DDA.
You can consider something without accepting it as true.
...and I'm still doing really well....
This is from 3 second ago.
The number one issue I have; that I can't wrap my head around with global poker; is that everyone complains about bad variance right? Well, it stands to reason that SOMEONE is sun running. Why do we never see a sole player in tournaments just stomping? Why do we see top chip stacks as a group? Shouldn't someone be sun running?
Where are these sun run players?
You can ask questions; entertain an idea; without immediately jumping to 'It's rigged'.
Some concerning aspects include the RNG they use being crackable; IDK if it is crackable within their implementation; but it is crackable.
They have a patent on DDA.
These can be concerning without being true....and if you don't get that; that's on you.
If you'd like to be my first stalker; you can start by getting some ammo from here -> https://www.sharkscope.com/#Player-Stati...
Now you have my stats and record; now you can talk ****; but effectively...and accurately.

The more I think about your post; the more I think you're correct. I do have a chip on my shoulder.
I'm going to self censor myself moving forward until I can be a little more social; I may have reasons for being stand offish; but this isn't the place for it. I recognize it because you're telling the truth; I do have a chip on my shoulder.
I'll keep posting updates to my tourney wins section; but I need to take a break from interacting with others until I figure this out.
