When does the rake become too much?
When does the rake become too much? I'm looking at a $250 tournament it has a rake of $50.00 so only $200 dollars goes into the prize pool. That is an insane cut if you ask me.
That's like if your selling a 250k house and you have to pay 50k in fees. Leaving you with only 200k.

On the site I play on(Party Poker) a $200 MTT has a rake of $15. Are you sure the person you pay the rake to isn't wearing a balaclava and holding a sawn off shotgun?. Rake 20% no **** way.

problem with this mindset is encourages higher rake - even if you can beat that rake, you still should make a public point about not playing due to the absurd rake and hope enough vote with their wallets that they reduce it
I defy you to find a cardroom or casino in the United States offering tournaments with buy-ins $250 or less for which less than 20% of the buy-in is juice.
