Question for group regarding preference and pros/cons of Max Buy-in/Reload/Topup Amounts

Question for group regarding what kind of cash game structure Max Buy-in's you are seeing more commonplace in social club, casino and home games out there. Do you see more game that have a Max buy-in/reloads of 400BB or another factor of BB's and if so, what is that factor, or Max of matching largest stack on table? Two part question. Which do you see most often in the different venues, and which do you prefer and what are pro's and con's for each? I'm going back and forth in deciding which to use or change to in my private club.
