You must, of course, study and must, of course, play, so you must divide your time between them.

Find a poker room with a lot of fish. I can help you with that, PM me - because it depends on where you play, where you are located, and so on - and play stakes that you can win consistently, at least win more than you lose, and make the winnings worth your time.

Meanwhile, study poker theory and your games.

Once you can consistently win, move up the stakes.

If all goes well, you will eventually reach HS.

For you to become good at poker you will need to be excited about it and you would really want to achieve that goal.

If you can't have the above for many years consequently, then there's going to be some youngster that are intelligent and want it more than you, and you will be a step behind them.

So yes all the technical stuff above, but also you need to really want it, almost like your life depends on it. (within a reason, because a burn out is not a productive either, but you need to run at like 9/10 CPU and enjoy it to the point where you are almost willing to work 6-7 days/week and still keep excited about it)
