How much bigger does live play vs online?

I think 4-5xbb open size is normal live compared to 2.2-3x bb online. I think in live people buy in bigger on average but also there is more variety in stack sizes with many short stackers who don't add on.

I find in the $1/2 games people have a whole lot more gamble in them than they did say $10 years ago. For example, an $8 open preflop now pretty much will get 5-6 callers. If you get a premium, you really need to go damn near $20.
