Any profitable formats left?

Any profitable formats left?

Sitngo's are dead
Smallfield mtts are tough, only grinders and cheaters
Cash games are dead, grinders, cheaters and rake is killing the game

Is there any small/midstakes formats left thats profitable? Obv livepoker is nice but thats not possible for me in this city i live in.

As i see it the only thing left is big fields mtts (during weekends, series etc). In those many are still bad (lot of sat-qualifiers) and less ratio of cheaters. Yes, variance is huge in those. What do you think? Is there anything left besides this?

yes. it is called learning more than one poker variant.

Every format is profitable if you're good. If you're not making money, you're probably average, or worse, or not playing enough.

You need to move away from NLH. A lot of players (even casual players) have gotten better. Edges are smaller. The days of players calling massive 4 bets with junk hands is over. You should look to mixed games. Try PLO, try HORSE, try playing a new format.

Have you tried nlh app games? At least the lower stake app games are soft and beatable.

I mean if you want to bumhunt on sites with very questionable security then the actual games may still be profitable

lol advising someone that is paranoid about cheating to go play on apps is like teaching your kid how to swim by covering him in blood and throwing him in a pool with sharks

About your question, OP, the key is to become better and to select better games. a lot of profit in poker comes from game selection

You guys say that like there is a ton of tables of 2-7 lowball/Omaha hi-lo/HORSE running.

The only viable option is 4 and 5 card PLO.

Short deck is a **** game, you will be better playing Texas.
