MTT preparation?

I've played nothing above 55$ MTTs. What preparation should I take to play 600$ and under MTTs online? My plan is simple: join RYE. Then hopefully have an idea and join a coaching stable. Or wait at least a while into RYE before getting coaching. What is the approach for someone "pretty good" at mid buy-in tournies? I've put no effort into training. Came into a lump sum and I'm going to try to do this as a profession. Thanks. Putting 40k into it. If I waste it, I'd rather not. LOL. I'm able to invest this amount semi-regularly.
