THE Official 2022-2023 PGA Tour Season Thread - (LIVtards need not apply)

The men's professional golf world has been shaken up over the past several months as this man

has sold his soul to the devil and aligned with MBS's blood money regime in an attempt to tear down the PGA Tour. Greg Norman has had a personal vendetta against the Tour for decades and he's finally found a mark to fund his grudge. So far his Saudi back league is 0-for-1 in the U.S. legal system with the bigger case(s) not being settled until likely 2025. Unfortunately for LIVtards, their OWGR will sink into the hundreds and many of them won't be eligible for future majors. But that is the price they chose to pay to receive bonesaw dollars in their bank accounts.

But enough of the Saudi golf leage, this thread is dedicated to the preeminent golf tour based in Florida. Some good news for the players as, a few days ago, the Tour announced a series of elevated events where we are guaranteed to see the world's top players teeing it up together. Let's take a look at those events:

The three playoff events: FedEx St. Jude Championship, BMW Championship, The TOUR Championship

The Genesis Invitational
Arnold Palmer Invitational
the Memorial Tournament
WGC-Dell Match Play
Sentry Tournament of Champions
The PLAYERS Championship

The four majors: The Masters, PGA Championship (Oak Hill C.C.), U.S. Open (LACC), British Open (Royal Liverpool G.C.)

TBA: four additional events

That's a **** ton of elite events on the calendar the Tour is delivering to fans this season. The world's best golfers at some of the game's most historical courses and tournaments.

Here's a link to the Korn Ferry Tour '25':

Word is that Taylor Montgomery is a name to keep an eye on in this new crop of professionals that possess a coveted Tour card.

Now for some questions we should have answered during this upcoming Tour season (which kicks off September 15):

Now that Will Z has the win monkey off his back does a major win soon follow?

Does another golfer reach golf's Holy Grail?

Who will we miss more? Cameron Tringale or Jena Sims? 😃

sad that nobody stepped up to create a new season thread

Good to see Willy Wilcox caddying for Sunjae. Hope he makes a career out of it.

Rory really gave one away in Dubai. Horrific 3-putt from 2 feet on 14 and then hooked his driver into the water on 18. Nice win for Tommy Lad though. Fleetwood seems primed for a big year.

Yeah was nice to see Tommy win. Hopefully he can put together something in one of the majors this year.

Great to see Murray get the W after overcoming his struggles with alcohol and injuries. All last season he was a sleeper pick for me in dfs, unfortunately not this week.

Glad he got off the booze. That stuff is no bueno for many people

That said he's a **** stain as a person so I don't need to root for him to succeed on the golf course

Why is that I just heard about his addiction struggles

Why is that I just heard about his addiction struggles

I recall he had a fairly public spat with the tour maybe last spring about it?? Claimed he wasn't getting appropriate support

He's always been an outspoken guy. Alcohol, douchbaggery, and Twitter are a rough combo.

I bet he's feeling especially good though since Rory barfed on the same day: https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/golf/pga-...

Murray's performance comes not long after he was told to "play better" by McIlroy last year, in which he told the Northern Irishman to "f*** off",

I follow Kip Henley, former/current? tour caddie on Twitter. He's in the same realm as Murray, in the sense of being a brash, outspoken personality that tweets too much. Either like him or you don't.

Anyways I think Henley looped for Grayson last year, and was on the bag for his resurgence while winning twice on the KFT. I don't know the full details but right at the end of 2023 he fired Kip, not sure why. Naturally Murray goes on to win the Sony. Kip misses out on a 6-figure payday.
