my hunch is the dam broke at the masters and he's freewheeling now.
he's never really stood up to direct pressure like other greats from the past - especially on the greens - but when rory is not results oriented and just out there hitting golf shots there are few humans on earth who can achieve the same thing

I think he will continue his already great season and have one for the ages with at least another major, FedEx Cup and a couple more Signature events. The spell is broken.

Tony Finau over Jason Day today.

Seems totally contradictory to extend Grant an invite to the Barracuda while simultaneously suspending Wesley.

Having said that I was surprised Wesley did such a LIV-focused event for content. Boneheaded move for a guy with Tour credentials to step that far into that realm.

good for JT I guess. although my main thought at the end was please get Novak off my TV. probably harsh but come on bro.

all i watched of the heritage was early morning weekend replays of the day before while enjoying after dog walk coffee with the hound

First Rory, now JT, time to bet an irresponsible amount on Scottie at the PGA. He's due.

What's the knock on Novak? He's bland, but plays really quick. Gotta value that in a tour player.

He had an 8 footer to win in regulation. Wasn't even close. Then in playoff he almost missed the green from perfect fairway position leaving himself a 35 footer.....which he left short.

And this was after the trees spit more than one of his awful drives back into the fairway when they could have just as easily gone OOB.

I have nothing against him and was rooting for him to get his first win.

Yeah, the putt on 18 to win in regulation was rough. Just power-pulled it, not a good putt.

Novak with another chance

and there it is

I think Scottie's just fine.

Already a chaotic packed leaderboard. Heavy rough around all the risk/reward spots, seems like nobody getting punished yet.

Seems a lot like a normal tour event so far. A lot of big names missing the cut though, hopefully tomorrow we see some moving day actions from the big guys.

Leaderboard definitely improved over day 1.

do we think the 147th ranked Vegas holds on over the final 36 holes?

would be quite the story

we do not

I was not particularly entertained by day 1 or day 2.

**** got real today.

Didn't bet an irresponsible amount but do have money on him. Somehow gonna lose even though he is the most ironclad player we've seen since peak Tiger
