Temporarily Moving to another country but worried about missing golf

I am in the process of going through some life changes with only strings tying me down being a 9 year old dog that I will not leave behind. I know this isn't the travel section but looking for suggestions for ideal locations

I was set on Costa Rica and just did 2 weeks there but golf is limited unless you want to live up on the NW side of the country. I have never been up there (near the resorts) but I have heard it's not as lush, tropical as the central pacific coast that I regularly visit. Aside from that, if relying on poker earnings, and savings the COL is not great.

So, I am down to Mexico, Thailand, and Spain but maybe someone here can enlighten me on other options

I've never been but people always rate Portugal as a place to go to golf I can't tell you why though so do some research on it.

Maybe it's cause the UK weather sucks and we just over hype it 😃
