Hand2Note stopped importing hands from 888poker

Hey everyone, I’ve run into an issue β€” my Hand2Note has stopped importing hands from 888poker.

I suspect this happened after the latest 888poker update. Everything works fine with other poker rooms, so it seems the problem is specific to 888poker.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas on how to fix it?

I think the problem is that 888 changed their hand history format. So in order for hand2note to work properly on 888 there needs to be a hand2note update.

This is the new 888 format:

** First runout **
*******
** Summary **
thombelleau did not show his hand
First runout thombelleau collected [ 0,85 $ ]

This "First runout" thing is new so HUD software cannot recognize and import these hands without an update.

PS.... Hopefully 888 does not reinvent the game of poker by changing the way its played, with multiple runouts.

That's true, they've updated they hand history format. Hand2Note 4 has been updated already and we're still working on the update for Hand2Note 3 and will release it as soon as possible!

Unfortunately, we're still working on it. The Hand2Note 3 old core is much less flexible to implement new features or hand patterns.

We're doing our best to release it as soon as possible. Sorry for such a delay.

Unfortunately, updates for Hand2Note 3 are a much more complex task compared to updates for Hand2Note 4.1.

Our developers are working on resolving this issue, but we are unable to provide an exact timeline for when it will be fixed.


Until today h2n worked on 888, showing the hud with the previous hands in the database prior to the hh update from a few months ago. So h2n was still partially usable on 888.

Today however, h2n completely stopped working on 888.... We only get the red error from h2n: "Hand2Note: restart this poker application or reopen the table"

So maybe this issue from today can be solved faster/easier? At least making h2n usable with the old hands?

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this situation may have caused.
You may need to try reinstalling Hand2Note so that the HUD starts working again on 888.

Could you please follow these steps:

1. Save your settings, and copy your folders "Config" and "Notes":

2. Uninstall Hand2Note via the Control Panel.

3. After the uninstallation has finished, please manually delete all files from the install directory (the default folder is located in:
C:\Program Files\Hand2Note\.

4. Download and reinstall Hand2Note using the latest installer:

5. Run Hand2Note with the default config (do not restore your config folder), enter your serial key in the program, and check if the issue persists.
Additionally, please make sure that this option is enabled: "Enable HUD with hand history converter."


6. If everything is fine and the HUD has appeared, close Hand2Note, and you can then move your configuration folders, "Config" and "Notes" back:
C:\Program Files\Hand2Note\

Your database won't be removed, no worries!

We have just checked it again, and if Hand2Note is reinstalled correctly, the HUD does appear on 888.
At the moment, hand import from 888 is not available, and our developers are working on resolving this issue.


If the issue occurs again, please contact us by email.
We will also need your Config and Logs folders so that we can investigate the cause of the problem.

Yes, unfortunately importing hands from 888 is currently not possible in Hand2Note 3.
You will need to wait for a future update, but at the moment we do not have an exact timeline for when it will be released.
