I am getting pretty efficient with walking and probably have to start mixing it up
or doing more.
Today I was testing out a walking path for a walk challenge on April 18.
14h of daylight and ok weather. 5-12 degrees C.
The walking loop I checked out is 8.16miles or 13.05 km per loop.
Am contemplating doing this challenge either on April 18 or on June 6.
June 6 is 16h of daylight and 11-19 degrees C. Will think about it more.

Not sure how old you are but this year since about Jan you have not lost much weight. It seems you are outputting more activity to eat more. Cut the snacking at night and you probably won’t need to do the absurd amount of 20-30k steps per day plus the various caloric tricks you are trying ie calorie banking/day fasting etc. This is with the assumption you still trying to lose enough bodyfat to see ur abs. If you need some tips or techniques to help with snacking let me know.

Agree 100% with your post. I am 58 so I don't have the same mentality as the majority of the posters in this forum.
I already tell myself that I only have 17 years left to live... and don't waste it. My father passed at 75, so that is where I set the +- line. Anything more is a bonus.
My mom is 92, has 50% of her teeth, 50% of her memory. (long term memory is not bad, short-mid term memory is bad) 10% of her vision. (nearly blind)
At my age it is all about living healthy and longer. See abs, don't see abs, its not really that important. Wife doesn't care. We have been married
for 28 years and my kids are grown up and are working in decent jobs. There is nobody that I am trying to impress. I post here to be accountable
to myself and ... anyone reading this who wants to post Feel free to suggest, but keep in mind I am old and what is good for you guys
(lifting heavy, running races, looking buff, impressing the women or Judges)
is not necessarily good at my age. I watch a ton of videos focused on older people staying fit and lucid. Walking/Stretching/Diet/Sleep routine and
a some running/weight resistance to ret@rd muscle loss.
EV, you have pointed out one of my major leaks.
The simple goal of cutting late night junk snacking would be a HUGE victory for me. I can't stop the snacking,
but I can easily improve my choice of snacks. Time to peel and cut some raw carrots.
Wt. loss and dieting is for many things.
Easier on joints (father had both hips replaced and docs made him slim down from around 180 to 155.)
Eat less _> weigh less -> live longer. (in general... of course, go to far and die sooner from malnutrition or some vitamin deficiency.
Fasting for Autophagy and fat adaptability..
So I set myself interesting goals, like 72h fasting over the Easter Weekend. (Watched at least 100 videos on fasting as I do a 36h fast regularly)
Now this walk challenge. Since I walk a lot, I have looked up lots of walking u-tube videos. One of the most popular challenges is the 100k steps
in 1 day challenge. It does not seem hard for a guy who walks 20k steps/day regularly so I thought why not walk for 20h and see how many steps
I can take.

Right that’s why I was wondering where your head/goals were at. Even for myself I do it more for my health now (physical and mental) whereas when I was 25 I was in a different mindset.
So regardless, holding yourself accountable starts with knowing ur leaks.
When I started dieting about 1 year ago late night snacks put me at maintenance/surplus calories when I set my meal plan at a deficit. It was because of poor caloric distribution throughout the day. It left me with minimal calories at night and I am a sweet tooth fiend. If I don’t have sweet/salty snacks to end my night I will do the “just one” trick.. okay I’ll just have one chip it’s only one then half the bag is gone then I’m like well fk it doesn’t matter now.
I redid my whole diet so I left myself 500 calories at night and I knew I couldn’t mess this up. The caloric and nutrition distribution during the day suffered but I gained so much value by doing this trick. Adherence matters more than total balance, hands down. Find what works for you and stick to it. Also throw out all junk food doesn’t matter how much it costs. If it’s not in your pantry it’s not like you will goto the grocery store to cheat on ur diet lol.

So I got a huge blister on the middle of my right foot on April 17, after walking 38k steps in one day.
Sorry in advance if it grosses you out! (see photo)
The blister has turned into a huge callous now and I was testing it out again because
I want to do a walk challenge this month and do not want any foot issues to pop up and stop me.
I am planning something later this month (May 16)
