Las Vegas rental

Las Vegas rental

Anyone have any leads one some short to medium term rentals?

Right now I am in Vegas thinking I was checking out a rental I was going to close on that fell through.

I am looking for a small two bedroom house/condo to rent from sometime in mid-February to mid-April. It will just be my wife and I. We are far past the age of partying and messing up the place. In fact I am sure we will take better care of it than most (we will hire a weekly cleaning service).

Basically my wife has some work stuff to do on the west coast and will mostly (50%) be traveling. I am going along because I would love to spend 7 or 8 weeks in Vegas with no responsibilities. Poker here I come.

Neither of us smoke or do drugs, and there won't be anything extravagant done there. Mostly sleeping and eating by the two of us. We just want two bedrooms moderately furnished, a kitchen, parking for one car, and a reasonable internet connection. Even some of the furnishings are negotiable. For example, the 2nd room with be used as an office, we can supply the desk if need be.

Unfortunately it seems as though all short term rentals are Airbnb party houses or such. We do not need a pool, backyard or game room, or such stuff.

The place I was checking out was perfect. It was a simple 2 bedroom in The Martin, just off of Dean Martin Dr. They originally wanted $3000 for the 8 weeks, after I showed up they wanted $5800. I think they got offers from someone from California looking to shelter from the fire.

I think I can do better given my simple needs. Anyone with any leads?

I think short term rentals have to over charge to make up for the months that they dont have tenants. So I dont think your simple needs will get you lower pricing. If it's only for 2 months, why not look into Extended Stays?

Downtown, next to Freemont Street Experience: https://www.211lv.com/

Starting at $725 a month with all the Utilities included.

See video of an apartment tour here:

(great channel for all things Vegas foods btw)

'Simple needs' will for sure be fullfilled...

Dang, that's not bad for 725 unless it's really infested with roaches, there are murderers all around outside, and homeless are camping outside your door. I could see staying there for WSOP.

Doesn't Diesel spend more than 725 per month?

The place is only 169 s.f, that's really small .... especially for two people.

There is a short term furnished rental place really close to South Point, we stayed there while we had new floors installed in our house, along with some remodel and painting the place.

I recall it was called Copper Creek. Stayed there for about 2 months a number of years ago. It was very nice, we had two adults and a dog.

You should be able to message the owners of any airbnbs that catch your eye and ask for a multimonth discount. Also, when I'm trying to book long term airbnb's I like to look at who owns/manages them and nowadays, a lot of the time, it's a management company that you can google and speak to directly, avoiding airbnb fees.

You could also try Furnished Finder. They do longer-term rentals, like for traveling nurses.

this guy is extremely organized... I am impressed.

Thank you for all of the responses. I rally do appreciate them.

Unfortunately it looks like mother nature has ruined my trip. All of my wife's California trips have been canceled due to the fires, plus the housing cost has increased due to the spillover from the fires.

Obviously my ruined trip pales in comparison to those who have had to actually endure the fires. My heart goes out. Genuinely.

Maybe in the future.
