Las Vegas Fine Dining Thread
Hey,

2. N9ne at the Palms (stakes imo)link
3. Ago at the Hard Rock(Italian)link
4. Prime at Bellagio (Stakes obv)link
5. CraftSteak at MGM (STAKESSSSSSS) link
6. Mesa Grill at Caesars (some kinda grill?) link
7. Fix at Bellagio (i have no idea i read the description, this could be ANYTHING) link
8. SW Stakehouse at the Win, obv stakes, for some reason wynn has the worst godamn website ever so no link=/
9. Bouchon at the Venetian (french, head chef is Thomas Keller, guy is fcking sickkkk) link
anyway, add to my list or tell me to avoid places on my list for reasons.
My friend was very happy with his Grand Mimosa, where they sub out the OJ and use Grand Marnier. I had a mocktail, clarified mojito, which was very good. So maybe they cleared their early drinks issues
It was shortly after they opened, so I hope that is the case, but I am not happy spending $20+ for a bad drink. As I said in my original post, the seabass and duck were very nice.
And I very much appreciate the pics, but they are giving me vertigo.
The happy hour at Scotch 80 is pretty crazy.
Half off on some wines, a filet, salmon, ribeye cap, mashed potatoes, hash browns, Caesar salad, asparagus and some other stuff I can't remember.
The Salmon and ribeye cap are my usual dishes anyway, so that's nice.
Had bread and butter, Salmon, mashed potatoes and 2 glasses of wine for about $60+ tip.
Edit: oh yeah, it runs something like 5-6:30 and then 8:30 to 10:00 on week days. So it's pretty easy to manage that.
So I did this last night, thanks for the recommendation ES2. A couple tips for people that want to go:
- If you're a single diner and want to sit at the bar, be there right at 5:00 pm. It's a small bar and I was there at 5:10 and was too late. Not a big deal, I just got seated at a table instead.
- There isn't a special Social Hour menu, you get the regular menu and items that have the Scotch 80 icon next to them are eligible for the Social Hour discount.
I did the rib cap ($31), hashbrowns ($6.50), and cocktail ($8), and it comes with the bread and butter. Definitely a crazy deal by near-Strip standards.
Herbs and Rye
Spicy mussels app
Split a cacio e pepe dish
Sweet potato tots with marshmallow fluff
Bad pic of garlic spinach
Filet with onions and mushrooms
Ribeye with onions and mushrooms
Apologies for no close ups on steaks. Both were cooked perfectly. With 2 drinks powerful drinks, total was just shy of $100 per person before tip
hundred per before gratuity seems like a steal
and sharing dishes between two is a create your own tasting menu
easily translatable to activities later that evening
caught a tramp in the act
Edo tasting menu, added iberico which came out first. $100 pp
The amuse bouche of gazpacho and a a few unlisted one-biters were all contrasting in textures and temperatures. We didn't get all of the descriptions from the waiter as he was speaking quickly and heavily in spanish.
Stars were the the Hamachi sashimi on squash blossom, wagyu pastrami on a crisp with a ton of manchego cheese, and the suckling pig brioche. Loved the dessert which we had last time -- granita and popcorn ice cream.
Almost all new dishes from 2 years ago. Unpictured old fashioned drink was excellent. Will continue to recommend
Looks amazing. We loved Edo. Will definitely go back.
dessert wasn't the granita last time we went
was bummed because we had it the first and it was delicious
good to see they're still serving it...probably a seasonal thing with the berries
presentation is different, side by side, and it looks like there's something else going on with the popcorn?
Maybe there's more popcorn dusting this time around. But the taste was exactly what I remember. Which was excellent
Went to Bazaar Mar again, food is great. Highly recommend the strip steak, $75 and comes with a full side of great mashed potato and a salad that tastes 1000x better than it looks. I was shocked how good that little side salad was.
The Modifier cocktail
Lobster croquettes
Pan con tomate
Striploin
Salt baked fish, can’t remember what kind
Japanese baby peaches salad
Key lime beach dessert
One other cocktail that’s not pictured
$270 before tip. Saved about $120 using the InKind app with some promos we had. Not bad with the discount.
Looks fantastic.
this is my lifestyle!
Sorry that these are out of order. We stopped at the Wynn before dinner. I'm not a fan of espresso martinis, but Gwen's was really good as was my white negroni. We got to Bazaar early and they wouldn't seat us early, so we watched the Mets game on Gwen's phone and she smashed Mets and the under in spectacular fashion.
Everything at Bazaar was 8+.... except for the ribeye. Perfectly cooked, but it just wasn't that good. Still a great meal as always.
The goat cheese flatbread is very good.
they do have a wonderful presentation, thanks for posting that.
2 for 2 on incredible meals at Bazaar Meat! Always love seeing them posted here!
I haven’t been to bazaar meat since opening night (even though we loved it), and I had a bad early experience at edo. Looks like I need to get back to both. Great stuff guys.
I should also add that the caprese salad and the tomato tartar were excellent. The only downside was the ribeye and that's probably an 8+ anywhere else.
went to LPM at Cosmo and I've said this before , always an amazing experience.. me and my girl usually get the gnocchi and rigatoni but we went with the truffle Alfredo and it was amazing.
the yellowtail carpaccio was so good and so fresh , they spent a good ten minutes cutting it up and it was perfect .
au gratin potatoes buttery as always .
and probably the best cheesecake in Vegas..
Antonio our server and Linda the host make it happen . 10/10
We do a buyout of Milos for an event at G2E, and their food, service, and professionalism continue to impress.
From eater. I was worried then happy.
Bazaar Meat
José Andrés’s ode to all things carnivorous is closing its location at Sahara Las Vegas and will reopen next year at the Palazzo at the Venetian Resort. Bazaar Meat opened at the Sahara in 2014 and has since become a standout for its excellent tasting menus that feature jamón ibérico, flame-frilled steak, and creative approaches to dishes like fritters and foie gras. The new Bazaar Meat at the Palazzo will retain the menu, inventive cocktails, and impressive presentations that the brand is now known for.
Venetian/Palazzo really trying to see how many versions of a steakhouse can survive in one property.
Seems like this should be good for Bazaar Meat’s business overall though.
will it be on Restaurant Row or somewhere else? I wonder which venue it'll take if yes?
Assuming it’s palazzo side based on the article: morels? Carnevino?
Does Kabuto need any more fame? I think so! Visited last week with my friend. It was my third time and it was by FAR the best food I had out of the 3. We did the sake pairing as well and everything was delicious. We added two pieces of chu toro to the large Omakase menu and we were pretty full after everything.
10/10 stars, easily top five restaurants I have ever been to.
Poker room comps for bazaar meat? Yes please.
Kabuto is another Vegas favorite. Incredible every time. Also went this summer and did the menu with sake pairing. Wife and I usually always order a couple extra pieces with the menus. I recommend asking the chef if there is anything that wasn’t on the menu that they would recommend trying. Have gotten some very unique orders that way.
