Diamond in a Day - CET Total Rewards

Is it still possible to get Diamond in a Day?

I have read about it in the past, just curious.

Is anyone aware of a way to get a permanent status match from MGM Rewards? All I have been able to find is a Status Challenge, which is really just a temporary match and then you need to get in enough play to keep it. Staying at Bellagio this summer and trying to figure out if I can dodge some resort fees by going Wyndham ---> Caesars Diamond --> MGM Gold.

...in the same MGM room. Can't split it between rooms.

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned that Caesars is doing a "system-wide" 5x tier credit multiplier from March 25-31, meaning it should apply to almost all Caesars casinos.

You should be able to get Diamond for all of this year and next year just by earning 2500 TCs on a day during the promotion.

Been submitting requests since early february and still no luck.

called wyndham and they acknowledged i was wyndham diamond but couldnt help me with a caesars account.

any suggestions?

I'm pretty sure this is wrong unless it changes very recently .

That’s strange. I called and they did the match form for me over the phone. Matched to Diamond on Caesars a few days later.

You are completely wrong, you can split between all four of their Vegas rooms.

In Vegas at least, poker probably doesn't get 5x'ed. It didn't in December and it didn't earlier in the year.

It's been theorized that if you mix in some other kinds of gambling Caesars is too inept to extract poker from your other gambling and goes ahead and gives you the 5x for everything.

It's always been excluded per the fine print but we all know that it's a crapshoot who gets it who doesn't.

That’s probably true, but if you can play 99%+ VP, you can get Diamond at a much lower EV loss than a Founders Card will cost you.

Founder's Card was reported to stop matching to Diamond earlier this year. Only the Wyndham Business card can make Diamond without tier credits which at $95 is a good deal.

This will be my path next year

IF you're lucky. If you're unlucky, it's amazing how fast the money disappears while looking for the first 100 tc.

The money will disappear 5x slower between March 25-31.

I wouldn’t be so sure about that. I will investigate further this summer when they will undoubtedly have more tier multiplier says, but at this point, I have reason to believe they pull shenanigans with tier point earnings during the tier multiplier periods.

Well you're wrong at least on machines so there's that.

I don’t know if it’s possible to pull shenanigans on machines. I don’t play slots, but I would be surprised if they were all the same, seeing as different slots and slot-like machines have different house edges. And if they are different, then they would have to make it very obvious what the machines were providing as far as TC/ bet. This sort of transparency doesn’t exist at table games. If it does with slots, ok.

Imagine not knowing anything.

caesars does say it lets you know if your machine gives you credits at a less than normal rate.

I wonder, do the electronic games also provide this level of transparency? I remember playing a stadium game for a while a couple years ago. But I didn’t pay close attention to any sort of indicators of TC rates, other than to notice the tier credits earned were a fair bit less than the live table equivalents, which sort of surprised me.

Did the Caesars Diamond match go through? Were you trying to initiate the match via the Wyndham site/link or the Caesars one posted above? I couldn’t get the Wyndham one to work but the Caesars one went right through. I’m still waiting for the match to actually kick in, though. They said it would take two weeks and it’s only been a few days so hopefully I won’t have any problems.

How about saving the conspiracy theory stuff for when you have actual evidence, please? Then, if you do get evidence, how about you start another thread about it, please?

It's true that there's very large variance to this. In fact, you're pretty likely to lose quite a bit more than the EV value, with a smaller but non-trivial chance of decent windfall.

But this is basically true of every poker tournament you enter, right?
As poker players, we should always be thinking of gambling in terms of EV and not the modal outcome.
