Trooper97 vlogs, discussions etc. will be allowed to continue in the new thread. That thread will not be unchained and I will work with the other LVL mods to keep it civil.
I personally am not going to allow a lot of the horrible posting that went on in the original thread to take place and I will be very generous with post deletions and bans if needed.

Update April 2018
********************
OK Vlogger Thread, we are going with some new parameters to try to make this the POSITIVE vlogger thread that it is supposed to be, not the AIDS vlogger thread where a few loonies ruin it for the rest. Note that 'positive' does not equal 'only positive', it means anything negative being said CAN'T be namecalling or wild, unsubstantiated speculation regarding any and all vloggers. Personal lives and anything aside from poker is OFF THE TABLE.

A new update March 2019:
NO ****ING POLITICS!
as much as i think diesel sucks, i would agree that he's top 1% of 1-3 players
have any of you guys played 1-3? it's hilariously bad
No shot he's in the top 1 percent. A top 1 percent player makes way more than his sub 10 dollars an hour and that's without having to play in 4-5 casinos a night and table change several times in each casino.
I'm sure the play level is extremely bad but also shows you how comically nitty his play is. Despite all of this hilariously bad play he probably made about 6 dollars an hour last year in these games.

He should be measured against for profit players. Why would a pro measure themselves against recs at the lowest stakes? That's absurd. I would estimate that he's in the bottom third easily.

Among for profit players he's in the bottom 5 percent and I'm being extremely generous.
The guys a break even 1-2 player and thinks hes top 1% of players thats so crazy
The chance of Rice dealing is between 0 and less than 0.
I always wondered why Troop didn't deal home games in Vegas, like when he used to make some decent money in his hometown.
Diesel went around a poker room counting all the women and we are talking about how good he is in the player pool lol. After that revelation, part of the reason for diesels low win rate probably is he is too distracted by counting things in casinos to focus on even playing. I now think he does a full census count of the demographics of every poker room he goes into every day.

people tend to overestimate rarity
something that occurs 1% of the time in the wild happens far more than you think
for example, I'm taller than 95% of the US population but never thought of myself as tall when i was in college because every day in college you see hundred or thousands of other people and be exposed to the top 4% and to me those were the tall people - this is a typical experience
think of the population in general, not just the tail end of the regs (which are us) who know the game well and play and mostly interact with other regs because we see them all the time - think of the greater population, the people at the table who are strangers, or perhaps you played with once a few months ago but aren't quite sure - there's a whole lot more of them than there are of us
r/poker, which itself is a cohort of superuser has 272k followers, 2p2 maybe has 50k irregular monthly visitors & lurkers supported by what, 1k regular posters?
the 1-2 poker ecosystem is easily over a million people, rice is without a doubt among the top 10,000 out of any pool of 1 million 1-2 players
however... compared to people who put in as much time as he does, he's 100% at the very bottom
Diesel is the ultimate bottom feeder. He doesn't deserve to be ranked against other players who play for fun or for profit. Anyone who does what he does to get by in life is the bottom of the food chain. Anyone could do what he does, it requires zero skill. People choose not to do it because they actually value their time and have some dignity. If Rice told a recreational player that they could do what he does and actually be profitable instead of losing money in the game they would laugh at him.
His entire strategy revolves around other people paying into the promo funds that he profits from. He even makes videos boasting about this showing how he makes roughly 10x from various promos verse what he himself has contributed into them. Comps and VIP benefits make up the remainder of his pathetic "income" plus any free food he can score along the way from unsuspecting players mentioning they might get something to eat.

I've played with Diesel and been in the room when he's been playing. He's not spending any time paying attention to how people are playing at the table so he can come up with exploits vs them.
He's developed and honed his super nitty style to perfection and the beauty of his style is it requires zero thought and zero adjustments at the table. He's basically an early 2000's bot programmed to play 8% of hands and has a basic strategy that doesn't change post flop.
But ya, he's in the top 1% of the 1-3 player pool. Lol.
Diesel in the comments section is really telling to his mindset and how jumbled his brain is as far as playing poker for money.
Question from the comments section - "Why aren’t you shot taking 2/5 ever? There MUST be some relatively decent opportunity on tourist weekends/events."
"Making an extra $600 doesn't mean much to me. I'll make that playing $1-2. Avoid -$600 days is much more important." - Diesel
Diesel ain’t ever gonna play 2/5 even in palookaville or in a 500 cap game, he doesn’t have enough technical skill to hang. He would do better playing in Reno or Wendover and there are plenty of cheap rooms but then everyone in Medford, Long Island would think less of him because he’s not a “Vegas poker pro.”

The not beauty of his style is he makes less than someone working in Wendy's in 1995.
But yes he's a poker pro and all just ask him lol.
Literally everyone he's ever played with would kill themselves before they made what he makes.

Image being a "poker pro" for multiple years where losing 600 has a detrimental impact on you.
I mean my goal isn't to lose 600 dollars in a session and it might be a little more than my ev but it's a rounding error.
You may be an ambassador to England or France
You may like to gamble, you might like to dance
You may be the heavyweight champion of the world
You might be a socialite with a long string of pearls
But you're gonna have to serve somebody, yes indeed
You're gonna have to serve somebody
Well, it may be the Devil or it may be the Lord
But you're gonna have to serve somebody

I am surprised he recognized a woman.

El Diesel is on the verge of capitulation. He stated in his vlog that poker will not be his primary source of income if he deals for a couple of months this year. So sad. He has the intelligence to succeed in poker but his ego, like his hero, is his enemy.

Another one bites the dust (yeah)
Hey, I'm gonna get you too

Like Troop, admitting defeat and pretending it was their idea.
You can only appraise someone by how much they invested.
Troop has the equivalent of an eighth-grade education. He may be considered a success.
Rice is in the bottom 1% of law school graduates. That level includes disbarred attorneys serving time.
Too bad they don't play the "Stand Up Game" at 1-3. That would definitely turn Diesel into a losing poker player as he would be paying the bounty almost every time.
El Diesel never plays at Belliago, Wynn or Aria since they went to a $500 cap.
Bouncing from room to room I feel that pure poker is played in those 3 rooms. The others are just for promotions that are pretty much infested with nits trying to make a high hand. If Diesel really wants to improve his game which he doesn’t he would grind the 3 rooms mentioned above.
Watched ED's RIO video. So, apparently he shaves his head and just leaves the hair all over the bathroom floor. Sure, let house keeping clean it up. I'm sure he at least tips them well. That is TBC level disgustingness...
