Trooper97 vlogs, discussions etc. will be allowed to continue in the new thread. That thread will not be unchained and I will work with the other LVL mods to keep it civil.
I personally am not going to allow a lot of the horrible posting that went on in the original thread to take place and I will be very generous with post deletions and bans if needed.

If any accounts persistently do this they will be banned or exiled from posting in this thread. In these cases we may issue a warning first.
Accounts that are used only to or substantially to troll post in this thread will be banned.

Update April 2018
********************
OK Vlogger Thread, we are going with some new parameters to try to make this the POSITIVE vlogger thread that it is supposed to be, not the AIDS vlogger thread where a few loonies ruin it for the rest. Note that 'positive' does not equal 'only positive', it means anything negative being said CAN'T be namecalling or wild, unsubstantiated speculation regarding any and all vloggers. Personal lives and anything aside from poker is OFF THE TABLE.

A new update March 2019:
NO ****ING POLITICS!
There’s no argument. I simply am stating facts. There is 10 people constantly bashing him, the only one in this room who makes money playing poker( and you all know it). What you do with said facts it’s up to you
Many of us in here play for a living. My hourly is far higher than Rice’s, but I don’t feel the need to belittle him the way many in here do.
I’ve pointed out the absurdities of your posts, Rice. Nothing more.
So just to clarify, Rice is super smart, with a statistics background, bets $2500-$4000 as an individual unit at sports betting, and was a net loser at betting sports overall.
There are some major contradictions in these statements.
DUCY?

Well considering I’m not rice, you sound pretty absurd. I know for a fact he doesn’t care about any of your opinions. Keep clicking that watch button on YouTube.
I hope you find peace brother. I promise you, el diesel is financially strong. Just simply the most frugal man you ever met. He use to post his net worth in 9th!! Grade on his aim profile. He was 14 years old with 40k in the bank.
If true, then he got a great start in life - high schooler with 5 figure net worth, Ivy League degree, law degree, car, all courtesy of his well-off family. With 0 additions and a 4% rate of return over 19 years, that $40k would grow to $150k. Very impressive and stable genius!

Again, reading comp not a strong suit here. You guys betittle him for caring about losing 200. Why shouldn’t he care? He doesn’t cry like you guys say he does, the videos are proof of that. I merely said he’s wagered 4k on a single game. Wasn’t his unit size. You try to be pedantic but you’re not even good at it. He’s the best poker player and would be the smartest by far in this thread

His parents are not well off. Two retired high school teachers from middle class families. You guys literally embarrass yourself more and more with every post
Lmaoo what a perfect illustration of the stupidity of this thread. Do you think I pulled that game out of thin air? He’s wagered 2 months of your salary on a single giants/ cowboys game. You literally have no idea what your talking about
3,000 dollars is about 6 months worth of Nomad's "salary" in 2022 and 2023. And yes people have trouble believing he bet 3,000 dollars on an NFL game but is afraid of 200 dollar poker swings.
Additionally Making poverty wages but having made a 3,000 dollar bet before isn't the brag you think it is.
If you read through this thread recently you'd also see basically everyone is happy for him getting the dealer job and hopes he keeps it.
Best new poster in this thread since the penny stock bodybuilder guy

It’s sad that you keep having to bring up how smart you are.
And these sad ghost account posts where you have to say all this nonsense just to build yourself up are just sadder.
Again, nobody’s real childhood friend makes posts like these, Rice.

The irony is so thick you could get it with a freaking knife lmao. I am not rice. I am his childhood friend, the fact that you think it’s inconceivable is such a strange hill to die on

He’s not afraid of 200 dollar swings. Simply bc you say it doesn’t make it so. He doesn’t need to play higher than 1/2 or 1/3 whatever it is these days to get to his goal.
I have changed my mind and I now believe you bigpoppa. I am certain if you make another 40-50 poasts today you can get others to change their mind too. Just remember to hurl around some insults and do a little gaslighting. You got this my man

Are you going to do anything other than project? You’re boring me
Rice, you’re even typing these posts with the same grammatical errors found in your YouTube replies.
Stop embarrassing yourself.
- I’m sure Rice was a smart guy in high school and college. He clearly is intelligent in some ways, just very on the spectrum
- Despite that, he undeniably made roughly $6k/yr at his full time job the last two years, has not been able to cover his living expenses, and is barely adding to his savings
- I don’t believe that the $3k sports bets lasted very long. Rice has been increasingly trying these “challenges” where he basically spends $0 to survive for extended periods of time, his mental state seems to be declining, not posting results— all signs point to a man under severe financial stress
- I and most of this thread am very proud of him for getting a dealer job and wish him the best. I hope he’s able to work, get a permanent place to live, health insurance, car insurance, etc… and save a meaningful amount for retirement.
And Poppa, I believe that you are a HS friend and not Diesel, but I encourage you to watch more of the vlog, especially the videos relating to finances, results, and these challenges.
Professional poker is grueling for everyone, especially so when one is playing the lowest stakes possible with a razor thin win rate, no home, and a lack of an emotional support system (girlfriend etc) to deal with the financial swings.
That’s why so many (like myself) shifted to poker as a side hustle that can complement a steady career, and why I’m so happy that Diesel is finally listening to some of the advice from those in this thread and getting a dealing gig to complement his poker comps/earnings.
The irony is so thick you could get it with a freaking knife lmao. I am not rice. I am his childhood friend, the fact that you think it’s inconceivable is such a strange hill to die on
I prefer to use SCISSORS... or what Chef Big D calls "Buffet Shears"
What was his Laundry bill during that month with the $3K+ sports bet?
BONUS: Was Big D betting on The BIG D?
BONUS #2: How many miles are on your, I mean the VW?
BONUS #3: Are oil changes for suckers?
Fwiw if 1/2 NL full time grind is netting around $10/hour, card counting BJ with infinite comp hustle is like a superior and logical choice. No casino will really kick you out if you're grinding a $10 min bet to $40 max OR $5 min to $50 max on a shoe. It's just too much effort to trespass. Can play in every casino in the world.
I would play BJ professionally for $10/hour over Poker for $10/hour in a heartbeat. In BJ you dont need to think, have stress, it's all done. You just wait to collect money. I'm only reading the thread, but this Rice/Diesel guy should do this instead. Sounds like he's homeless/travels a lot, the perfect situation for a blackjack player. Never in one place, can move around forever, doesn't need to see the family/friends. This is a huge restriction to most sane people who want to play BJ fulltime (cus there's a limit on how many casinos you can play nearby be4 being banned).
Also anyone who becomes profitable in BJ, always profitable FOREVER. The max bets only become bigger and bigger. So Rice/Diesel should do BJ over dealing imo if he really has a 6 figure bankroll/networth. $50/hour with 6 figure is literally 0.01% RoR.
His first explanation of it seemed fine, even though I already knew the variation and diesel talks so fast with zero structure to his thoughts. I guess some of his mutant viewers needed an incorrect visual depiction from Diesel to really understand it.
But he repeats everything 3 times, so that makes up for it.
I've never heard of this game.
That last ED video was kinda of a downer. Dude got on a 5:00 am Spirit flight to spend a day walking around SF, had only bread to eat, saw some duck hanging in a chinatown window and was thrilled, and then had nothing left to do with his day so found some standard stores and told us about them before heading back to the airport with some pocket bread. He went to Cornell. This is not suppose to happen.
You forgot that he thought cooked ducks were raw. Guess he thought they were that color under their feathers. Has he never seen chicken in the store?

4% is probably about what he got in dividends.

This is where the disconnect lies between reality and what this thread believes. He could have a permanent place to live right now, 5x over. HE DOESNT WANT TO. Why is that so hard to understand? He is not under any financial burden. He simply chooses to live the way he does
