I don't know whether it's dogged determination or pure stubbornness/arrogance, I suspect it's likely the latter. But for better or worse, ELD will go down with this ship. And it will be on his own terms with a smug grin on his face all the way.

Food is plentiful and cheap in the good ol USA if someone is resourceful. It's the housing and transportation costs that will get him eventually.

Well yes since then I mean lol. I didn't say that what he is sticking to is very smart or logical, quite the opposite is true.

But he hasn't missed a day of posting nonsense vlogs since he started. And it seems like he isn't giving up on his mission of being a 1/2 live pro or his nomadic/homeless lifestyle. He's determined to live life on his own terms just to spite everyone who thinks he can't or shouldn't. He seems to get an immeasurable degree of pride and satisfaction from doing that, it's really quite amazing.

Ok, true. It just gets me fired up that he does what he does. I guess I shouldn't judge, it's his life.

The only thing about it that gets me is that he posts it all on YouTube and then is shocked when anyone challenges him on how brilliant he thinks he is. I mean why would someone living like him even think anyone else would want to watch his mundane life, let alone have fans/followers who actually agree with him that he is a genius for doing what he does and are willing to pay a monthly subscription for it LMAO

Choosing this life to spite people you’d never meet is a very odd choice.

I wouldn't venture so far as to say he chose it to spite people. But I'd posit that the more he gets told that what he is doing isnt very smart the more it reinforces his resolve to continue doing it LOL

It's pretty sad how many lucrative careers he could have been in where he could legimately reach FIRE.

I think he was rapidly losing his mind when he started the vlog and the videos actually help him manage his mental health. He will post several unhinged videos in a row like he has done recently, speaking only in numbers and other ones where he just does ridiculously dumb things. Then he will post more normal (for him) videos for a bit before his mental health cycles again and he starts the numbers vlogs and the utensil sorting all over.

Diesel has even said that the vlog gives him something to talk about at the table and increases his social interaction. The vlog starting also coincides with his hourly dropping off, so makes sense he was looking for something to do other than making $7/hour.

Diesel's hourly and hours played dropped way down in 2023.
Not a snowball's chance in hell, he made $10/hr in 2023 and not a chance he grossed $15K in 2023.
Diesel won't disclose those numbers for a few years, because he'll tell ya nobody is interested in trivial stuff like that.

You would think the very first vlog he would put out in a 2023 wrap up series would be what he made and how many hours he played like every other poker vlogger. Instead, we know how much he spent on laundry in 2023 compared to 2022.

when he went to lake elisonor for like 2 months people kept asking him for a trip result and he kept pumping out videos about counting basically everything in that place except how much he won or lost.

It's quite odd that he reports on expenses and breaks it all down to include such a meaningless stat as laundry but he's not as forthcoming with income and how much he won and lost every session day.

Where's the breakdown on how much stealing cereal boxes and fruit and condiments from the buffet adds to your income?

This is also clearly a developed coping mechanism for Rice. He knows deep down that his results suck and is underwhelming, so thats why he pretends like these bad results doesent excist by making videos about every other braindead topic-or rambling on with meaningleass numbers/stats.

I bet my left arm that if he was crushing the games he plays in, like making 12 BB pr hour over a years sample he would put these results up first thing in the morning when he wakes up.
