Trooper97 vlogs, discussions etc. will be allowed to continue in the new thread. That thread will not be unchained and I will work with the other LVL mods to keep it civil.

I personally am not going to allow a lot of the horrible posting that went on in the original thread to take place and I will be very generous with post deletions and bans if needed.

Posts the are overly derogatory, mean spirited, name calling (including using rude derivatives of names) , and demeaning posts towards any of the vloggers or posters in the thread will be deleted at the mods discretion. If any accounts persistently do this they will be banned or exiled from posting in this thread. In these cases we may issue a warning first.

Accounts that are used only to or substantially to troll post in this thread will be banned.

No personal family information or situations allowed in the thread.

OK Vlogger Thread, we are going with some new parameters to try to make this the POSITIVE vlogger thread that it is supposed to be, not the AIDS vlogger thread where a few loonies ruin it for the rest. Note that 'positive' does not equal 'only positive', it means anything negative being said CAN'T be namecalling or wild, unsubstantiated speculation regarding any and all vloggers. Personal lives and anything aside from poker is OFF THE TABLE.

By far the most remarkable thing about Rice is his supreme confidence (putting it nicely, more like arrogance) even in the face of an entire lifetime of evidence to suggest that he should be anything but. I daresay were it not for that, there wouldn't be 1/10th the amount of discussion/interest surrounding him in this thread and most of us probably wouldn't even watch his videos.

Not just this thread, but his channel as well.

I lost with pocket AA 4x in two days playing live once. It was brutal

Rice's description of the airport staff as stupid for something decidedly not so reminds me of someone who posted a whole lot ITT

Somehow Rice doesn't know being an dick to flight/airport staff is as -EV as it gets

I'm sure she got some amusement out of it. Some guy thinking that she can change prices of an airline flight.

Guys, we are talking about the number 2 vlogger of all time in terms of amount of videos produced, which is a very relevant and important statistic, as long as you dont count the 9 people who have more views than him. Hes only behind trooper, unless you count the people who have more than trooper. I dont think hes bending the truth on things. He really has 150k in his stock portfolio yet sleeps in his car frequently and relies on comped gatorades to live, he really does exercise often on top of the flamingo parking garage and was not winded from walking up stairs, hes not 75 pounds overweight its mostly muscle, he really was the best trial lawyer in nebraska history, he really did discover a loophole in the grocery coupon book, he really did get screwed over at all his jobs and despite making less than ~every fast food workers or gas station attendants in nevada makes more from poker than any job hes ever had, he really did save 40k by the time he was 14 years old and place 4k bets on random football games, he really did day trade during the covid shutdown and didnt complain in an earlier vlog how he wasnt making money during that time and immediately hit the grind at winstar making a comfortable $13 an hour when they opened meaning he was only day trading during the shutdown for a maxiumum 2 months and 4 days, the rio really is a glamorous resort on the vegas strip, he really is a better driver than F1 drivers as seen from his maneuvers at under 15 mph in traffic, he really does eat a very healthy diet of discount sausage and all carbs, he really isnt the guy posting here that is just his childhood friend who knows every small detail about his life and types exactly how he talks and uses the same words.

You guys really are having a break with reality and need to really get it figured out

Not just this thread, but his channel as well.

If Rice approached anything resembling 'normal', almost none of us would know who he is.

I suspect if you looked through Nebraska law admissions for the past 10 years, there would be 1 Cornell undergrad not originally from the state. It's an inexplicable decision by ED.

Law Skool is a funny/crazy thing. As time has passed, it has only gotten progressively more so.

A good rule of thumb is that if a skool is not in the top 20 or so (out of 200), it ain't nothing.

Why is that? The vast majority of firms that hire AND PAY good wages get the vast bulk of their associates from the top 20 skools.

Can you do OK at the 24th best ranked skool? Sure, maybe with a lot of hard work and luck.

Can you do OK at the 80th best ranked skool? Hahaha. You better be in the top 10% of the class AND have something else going on.

A number of years ago, law school was difficult to get into and quite an accomplishment to graduate from.

Fast forward to today, a number of skools are almost open admission! A number of skools have had problems with their ABA accreditation. That is, they are borderline open admission and a shocking percentage of their graduates can't pass a bar exam. This reflects very poorly on the whole system. Why let people in who have no realistic chance to practice law? To help client? To make a decent living?

In the end, it is all about getting students to SIGN ON THE LINE WHICH IS DOTTED. It is important that the money continue to flow in no matter what. Administrators and professors salaries aren't going to pay themselves.

I suspect that it is a similar thing with undergraduate skools. The value of degrees all across the board has plummeted.

Why is Diesel and his pocket bread flying in the first place? Shouldn't he be riding the Greyhound bus like all the other Nomads? He would get a nice comfortable bus seat for 16 hours to San Francisco and 16 hours back to Las Vegas. Only miserable people throw their money away on hotel rooms when you can sit on a bus.

Actually, if you had performed just some cursory research on the competitiveness of law school admissions over the last 10 years, you would have discovered the opposite is true. Law school applications have slowly risen compared to a flat or slightly declining number of spaces available.

I miss poppa

He is walking home from the airport to save money on gas.

A quick search and I found Rice's bolthole

by pig4bill k

Those used to be $500. Then $400. Now $200. They're prob making bank off of that promo drop.

It's now $10 to register for the tournament, which supposedly goes to the dealers, and they still pass the hat for the dealers at the end of the tournament. So it's now a $180 prize.

Here’s a little known fact. Horseshoe can take money from the promo fund to cover any overlays in any tourneys they run, whether it’s the dailies or WSOP circuit events.

Yep, that is a promo, I have never got a definitive answer, but I think most poker rooms use the promo fund for comps also.

Has he considered taking up pai gow to accumulate comps? He’d likely be able to eat better.

this is 100% accurate, there are far more legal degrees handed out each year than

only about half of the people with law degrees end up actually working for a law firm, the rest tend to do some law adjacent stuff like working as an in house council at a firm whose primary role is
not to act as a lawyer but mostly to deal with the law firms on retainer

others take the better call saul approach, and that wasn't a parody, him being broke, living case to case and always looking for a new client and payday is a very typical experience

and then others just give up and do something else like rice

had a buddy who wanted to go to law school but didn't want to leave Boston, he couldn't get into harvard et el so went to suffolk instead - it took him about a year after graduation of getting up every morning, putting on a suit, filling a brief case with copies of his resume, choosing an office building and sneaking in, going to the top floor, looking for a law firm and if not work his way down, stopping at each of them in person and asking to speak to the hiring manager

if any contact was made, he'd look up the person his interview was scheduled on LinkedIn, find anyone who was connected to them that he was connected with and then reach out to those people - no matter how distant his relationship was to them and asked them to reach out to so and so and put in a good word for him

about a year of doing this and he finally got an entry level offer - most people wouldn't have the stamina

This is like a reverse Trooper scam but in this case, Rampage is clearly +ev in tourneys and especially a WSOP field. Fade Rampage in tourneys at your peril. This is a losing proposition long term imo if you're fading.

A friend of mine who was a litigator, had his own office. He told me that no law schools taught you how to be a lawyer in the courtroom. He was pretty successful and had won a big case where his take was over 800 grand, and planning two weeks in Cabo to celebrate.

A number of years ago, law school was difficult to get into and quite an accomplishment to graduate from.

There are a number of congressmen that went to California-only law schools. They aren't eligible for the regular bar and can only practice in California. Even though they didn't go to high-dollar snooty schools, they had what it takes to succeed.

Yeah... it's a bit like spread betting as has a huge potential downside and with Rampage anything is possible! Would be a brave man to take this bet.

As an aside I wonder how much would be put into escrow for it to go ahead

A fair reply....

Perkins needs to get involved in some bets.

by parisron k

Perkins needs to get involved in some bets.

People will be lined up to book at even money that Rampage won't win a WSOP tournament.
Dustin Da Closer will be happy to be the booking agent.

In today's video our hero spends no less than 3.5 minutes giving "shout outs" to literally every person he has spoken to over the last few weeks. Many of which are for people who he doesn't even know their names or weather they even watch his videos or not. Simply crossing paths with Rice is all it takes in order to make it onto his vlog.

And yet somehow there has never been a single mention of his mysterious life-long "best friend" who has seemingly now vanished from this thread just as quickly as he appeared.

just wait, in a couple days we'll have a whole video dedicated to "I have a long time childhood friend that I talk to everyday, and he told me about this forum that is just pages and pages of pathetic and uninformed losers..."

Rice spent more printing a boarding pass, $0.22, than a hotel room.

Did he waste $0.22 since the pass could have appeared on his phone?
