does Diesel say anywhere how many hours he played or anything for 2023?

As a whole, no, because Diesel will tell you people aren't interested in stuff like this.

Here is a short video of Diesel talking about his 40 nights in Lake Elsinore.
Check out the disgust in his face and voice at the beginning,
cause he feels he was forced to talk about something so unpopular.

Autistic people always assume everyone else is interested in the same things they are. He probably doesnt even grasp why anyone else cares about his results when they could envelop themselves in the other minutiae that he finds so enthralling.

Why talk about how much a poker player won or lost, when they can just talk about how much money they spend on doing laundry??

by punkass k

He does restaurant reviews?

Maybe they're directions to and from. I've seen all the hood of car videos I care to see.

by angle_shooter k

He thinks he is some God Level debater or something. He would have made a terrible Lawyer, no wonder he "chose" not to practice law.

His arguments that he thinks are so genius are in reality very flawed. The poor waitress can easily exchange the coins for notes at the cage at the end of her shift along with all the chips she would have to cash in anyway. In Diesels beautiful mind they wind up sitting at the bottom of her drawer and out of circulation for eternity!

Ironically many lawyers I've known make very good poker players and traders. They seem to have good insights into what people are thinking and would do in certain situations. Obviously I'm talking about trial lawyers with substantial courtroom experience.

pure disgust in his face at people wanting results.

his youtube comments are also amazing. he literally said he played less bc of a lot of bad sessions, someone asked him about this, he says they're wrong and painted themselves into a corner. he was probably so happy for "winning" this debate.

I was toying with an idea to calculate how much i use on laundry each month, like our well known livepro El Diesel does. Just for the lolz of course.

How does he come up with this number btw? I guess he just measures how much detergent he is using each load?

People that arent homeless/nomads have to also add the electricity used i guess on top 😀

Also, is it another surviving on scraps strategy for Diesel to stay for free in his parents basement for 2 of the years 12 months?

It would really make me happy if Diesels entire project was an elaborate troll-comedic genius level stuff-

He's gonna pull off a mask, Scooby Doo style, to reveal it's been Slowpoker all along.

I will never get over him not playing 2-5 because it’s boring. I can’t stop thinking about it.

I don’t date Margot Robbie and drive a Ferrari because it’s boring, not because I’m fat and poor.

I just find el diesels whole spiel about how he shows you everything else about poker players and his poker life stuff just annoying.

did he say anywhere how many hours he played or anything for 2023?

Yeah in his 2023 goals review video. In 2023 he said he averaged 156 hours a month for 10 months (Feb.-Nov.) and in 2022 he averaged 180 hours a month for 10 months. I forget if 2021 or 2022 was the year he played the most, I thought 2021 was his best year ever in terms of hours and money won but not sure.

I do find Diesel doing everything in the hardest/stupidest way possible and always saying it is the best way to do it, very annoying. Like even the way he holds up 3 fingers with the ring finger down is harder than the alternatives, and gives me pain to do it, might just be due to injuries I’ve gotten but it’s still stupid.

by Lionelhuttz k

Yeah in his 2023 goals review video. In 2023 he said he averaged 156 hours a month for 10 months (Feb.-Nov.).

I did not think Diesel played that many hours, not that 156hrs/month is that many.

Over the course of two trips to California, he averaged less than 5hrs/day, and he lost a few hundred dollars. He barely played poker during his trip to Lake Tahoe, before he split town early. Almost certainly he did not make any money in Lake Tahoe.

Yeah, that number seems quite high. Not sure i am buying that he played 156 hours/month on average through the whole year, or 10 months wich i guess is one year in Diesels world.

Considering how crazy delusional Diesel is capable of being in loads of different areas of life, i dont trust everything he serves us in his videos. He is capable of lying to himself(and to us) at any given time and on any given topic.

by Husker k

They're both uber-nits so it wouldn't be all that surprising.

I mean they could be fake numbers but he seems to binge and purge when it comes to poker hours. Makes sense because if he gets in a mental funk he’s probably better off watching old sitcoms than forcing hours.

Did Diesel ever explain what was bad about the Lake Tahoe games? Based on TBC’s results in Reno/Tahoe, I assumed Diesel would do better than Vegas. I’m guessing the games were too “boring” with a bunch of backpack boys or he had one of his freak outs being in an unfamiliar place. I doubt the games were too swingy for him like in California.

I just spent 30 dollars on drop off laundry service . He would be horrified.

I will never get over him not playing 2-5 because it’s boring. I can’t stop thinking about it.

if he plays as much as he says --- which is a whole lot of poker --- then i don't blame the guy for wanting sociable tables. in my experience, the 2-5 environment is like you'd find in prison where everybody is tense, intimidated, always on the lookout, always engaged in a life-threatening staring contest, waiting for violence.... whereas 1-2 is a place where you at least see smiles and hear laughing from time to time. not always, but most of the time.

the financial implications, that's a completely different story. i just don't see why deisel, if he plays as much as he does, doesn't at least try to get a pay bump from time to time, by playing 2-5. surely his win rate would be more and therefore justify putting in a few hours.

but again, he implies he only needs as much as money as he can make from 1-2, which doesn't bother me, but apparently pisses off the people in this forum more than criminal rape and war crimes.

I wish I was in Las Vegas today for the historic opening of Trooper Sunday at the Westgate.

Maybe because it's an arrogant lie. Why would you turn down a higher hourly rate, even if you had enough money. Worst case scenario if for some reason you absolutely don't won't any more money you can just earn the same amount as before but for doing less hours.

But yeah he frequently "chooses" to go without shelter and without food in order to get by and still claims he makes more than he needs. He steals condiments everywhere he goes but he doesn't need or want any more money. His lifestyle of being a homeless bum with nothing and still claiming he makes more than he needs is just another example of his self delusion and denial.

by parisron k

None of the choices are what we want.

Let's be original.

How about hooker reviews?

It's not just wondering why he doesn't play 2-5 to make more money. If he's so stuck on playing 1-3 for the supposed table dynamics vs 2-5, he could just get better and make more money in the same games he plays now. He won't even do that. His win rate is capped cause of how nitty he plays and also portrays to the table which necessitates moving casinos to get action.

It takes less than a dealer change for anyone to notice how Diesel plays and to not give him any action without a strong hand. I would say you could easily tag him as a nit just by how he looks.

Idk about in Vegas or LA, but in places outside Vegas I think higher stakes games are slightly more sociable, at the very least not super serious, certainly not prison like intensity.
I agree that 2p2 is a little too hard on El diesel, personally I don't find him to be arrogant, just weird. But his refusal to be more open minded or accept he doesn't always know best is frustrating. A lot of the "hate" he gets is actually good advice imo. And some of the posts making fun of him are hilarious. I want someone to start a diesel satire vlog where they obsess over laundry costs. I really like el diesel

Just looking at a 2/5 nl table while I'm waiting in line to buy chips at Aria makes me want to put my head through a wall.

by Koshka k

The funny thing is the guy with the coins is 100% right with his arguments. Coins do last way longer than bills. They are cheaper to make. Other countries do use coins as much as possible.

For countries that use paper based money this is true.
For countries that use polymer based money (and there are more every year), polymer money lasts WAY longer.

Countries are moving away from coins too. The EU never had a penny and Canada got rid of pennies about a decade ago. Circulation coins are ridiculously expensive to manufacture compared to their relative value.

He doesn’t know that he will make more at 2-5 if he plays at that level. He might lose a lot more. He might play for months and still lose more. Variance can do that even if he is good enough to make more at 2-5.

Does he really want to deal with much higher variance than he has ever dealt with in his life? He could easily lose thousands.

How many hours does he have to play before he can be sure he makes more at 2/5?

He also will have to change up his style. No more PF strategy of limping to see cheap flops before he puts in more than $2 or $3. He would have to raise with more than just premiums. Which increases variance.

Yeah but he plays the lowest stakes and still faces players that won’t care and still pay him off. He will get less action on average than other players, but he plays his style because he knows it’s still profitable.
