Trooper97 vlogs, discussions etc. will be allowed to continue in the new thread. That thread will not be unchained and I will work with the other LVL mods to keep it civil.

I personally am not going to allow a lot of the horrible posting that went on in the original thread to take place and I will be very generous with post deletions and bans if needed.

Posts the are overly derogatory, mean spirited, name calling (including using rude derivatives of names) , and demeaning posts towards any of the vloggers or posters in the thread will be deleted at the mods discretion. If any accounts persistently do this they will be banned or exiled from posting in this thread. In these cases we may issue a warning first.

Accounts that are used only to or substantially to troll post in this thread will be banned.

No personal family information or situations allowed in the thread.

OK Vlogger Thread, we are going with some new parameters to try to make this the POSITIVE vlogger thread that it is supposed to be, not the AIDS vlogger thread where a few loonies ruin it for the rest. Note that 'positive' does not equal 'only positive', it means anything negative being said CAN'T be namecalling or wild, unsubstantiated speculation regarding any and all vloggers. Personal lives and anything aside from poker is OFF THE TABLE.

Rice claims that Caesars pulling the plug on voucher drinks for poker players was not legal. He even cites a precedent of a ruling regarding some cigarette company. LOL I wasn't aware of any cigarette companies having rewards programs but whatever.

At least it's good to see him putting all his years of law school to some use. Laughed hard when he said "I can't imagine who would care enough to sue over it" because we all know that he is precisely that person. No one was more affected or outraged

Let me guess: he didn't read the fine print.

They can do whatever they want, whenever they want.

by Lionelhuttz k

The funniest part is that the drink voucher program is still in place, they just removed the part where it was welfare for nitty poker grinders that want free drinks without tipping a buck. The monetary difference is literally 4 $1 tips and diesel is falling apart over it.

If Diesel needs the nutrition from red Gatorade and Milkshakes so badly, he should either order cups of olives/cherries/cocktail onions or get cups of coffee that are half milk.

he can stealth fill his own container with milk or half and half in any busy coffee shop

Surely there’s language in the fine print saying they reserve the right to modify or cancel promos at any time without notice, blah blah blah.

I just learned that in protest of losing his beverage comp, Rice is taking a stand against corporate oppression and stopped playing at Caesar's properties.

I find it hard to believe Rice will stop chasing the [strike]Bally's[/strike] Horseshoe promo money, the twice weekly free player appreciation tournaments.
My guess is Rice will play 30 hours a week at 'Bally's' to qualify for the twice weekly freerolls.

I was thinking I hadn't seen any Neeme - WPT stuff, googled it and saw they aren't a thing anymore as of a few weeks ago. Was he let go or wanted out? Not that it really matters, just curious. I assume mutual, he's not the vlogger he used to be, guessing flying around to events isn't high on his priority list.

In other news, I still think Jon Pardy sucks and it's hilarious he's a "poker pro" but having to live with his parents back in Newfoundland. Team ACR, nothing but the top quality players!

It isn't really that fine of print, and it pretty much says exactly that. Also they reserve the right to withdraw any and all comps to any single individual if they wanted.

I'm surprised the greatest student to ever graduate from law school messed this up so badly.

Some of you still miss the Trooper's game. He's smart enough to know that his channel survived largely on hate watchers. Same here. He knows that that title will cause haters to watch, hoping to hear that his booth got shut down. He understands the game.

Not sure how big of a demographic "people who hate people that sell candy at flea markets" is, but ok sure. YouTube channels live and die by clickbait titles and he might have finally figured that out. Good for him. Means he might actually be trainable after half a decade of people telling him to do video titles that way.

I don't have any evidence to back up my theory, but I think Andrew is working on a slow exit strategy from vlogging or poker entirely. It could also be that he just wants a break and doesn't need the pressure that a sponsorship brings. He's been in Michigan more lately as well, which means there could be some family stuff in play, not that he needs to talk about that. Whatever it is, he's still one of the best people in poker so whatever he decides is best for him and his family is a good call.

I live and play in Vegas full-time. I have met and played with most if not all the vloggers that are based here or were. Neeme is a good guy. Kind and open-minded. As is his wife.

Timmy by by far had the most ugly personality.

Rice is different but I dont think a bad dude.

If Rice takes this to court I think a fair settlement would be for Caesars to give Rice credit for all of the free drinks he missed out on when he was visiting his parents in New York in December and January.

Yup and they don't even have to provide a reason. Casinos can basically do what they like, and you just have to wear it. Anyone who has spent as much time in casinos as Rice should be well aware of that.

by IQofTwoPlusTwo k

I'm surprised the greatest student to ever graduate from law school messed this up so badly

Rice dominated academics for 2 decades by meticulously following the rubrics and also grasping obscure baseball reference from college law professors, not by reading fine print.

I'm surprised Rice, the greatest student to ever graduate from law school messed this up so badly.

How different the trajectory of Rice's career would have been if he didn't get screwed by the Professor who ignored the Rubric.
The Supreme Court would not have been out of the question.

Fountainbleau gives gold members one free coffee per day.

Remember the one vlogger from Indiana? He owned an apartment building, and would always talk about his family. Whenever he went to play poker, he would purposely not touch the big Horseshoe in front of the poker room. What ever happened to that guy?

If you reach double gold bitcoin zephyr do you get a free donut?

The coffee is super strong, 5 or 6 sips and I was all hopped up and I drink coffee every day. lol

I'm sure they did their homework before making the decision. If it wasn't a published benefit then it would be very hard to argue that it isn't legal for them to withdraw it.

I pretty much always assume that any rewards program can be devalued at any time. Classic example is airlines who do this all the time. They do normally give at least some warning before the changes take effect, but again that's when they are making changes to a published benefit.

They were providing the benefit. I don't think it matters, as a point of law, whether it's published or not. It was also a fairly well known benefit. They could get lots of people to testify to it, including some former, and possibly present employees. The cashiers have to go through a bit of a circus act to ring up free drinks, so they would certainly remember it.

You can't get free Fijis in the casino.

Subject to change without further notification. Move on, counselor, you can't handle the truth.

Query whether such disclaimers are enforceable under applicable law. Rice has precedent on the issue. If he says it's illegal, no reason to doubt it.

Rice would be the 'Vinny Gambini' (film: 'My Cousin Vinny') of law if he would to take this to Court.
