Trooper97 vlogs, discussions etc. will be allowed to continue in the new thread. That thread will not be unchained and I will work with the other LVL mods to keep it civil.
I personally am not going to allow a lot of the horrible posting that went on in the original thread to take place and I will be very generous with post deletions and bans if needed.
Posts the are overly derogatory, mean spirited, name calling (including using rude derivatives of names) , and demeaning posts towards any of the vloggers or posters in the thread will be deleted at the mods discretion. If any accounts persistently do this they will be banned or exiled from posting in this thread. In these cases we may issue a warning first.
Accounts that are used only to or substantially to troll post in this thread will be banned.
No personal family information or situations allowed in the thread.

OK Vlogger Thread, we are going with some new parameters to try to make this the POSITIVE vlogger thread that it is supposed to be, not the AIDS vlogger thread where a few loonies ruin it for the rest. Note that 'positive' does not equal 'only positive', it means anything negative being said CAN'T be namecalling or wild, unsubstantiated speculation regarding any and all vloggers. Personal lives and anything aside from poker is OFF THE TABLE.

It's not just wondering why he doesn't play 2-5 to make more money. If he's so stuck on playing 1-3 for the supposed table dynamics vs 2-5, he could just get better and make more money in the same games he plays now. He won't even do that. His win rate is capped cause of how nitty he plays and also portrays to the table which necessitates moving casinos to get action.
It takes less than a dealer change for anyone to notice how Diesel plays and to not give him any action without a strong hand.

What diesel could do to be more profitable right now at his current stakes without studying poker includes buy in deeper, straddle, squeeze more, have better table talk, shave, dress better, play more on the east coast than the west coast, not report his meager winnings to the IRS, and so on.

This is absolutely peak Diesel because:
1. He's wrong and misunderstood what he is looking at
2. Even if he was right, nobody cares
Yeah in his 2023 goals review video. In 2023 he said he averaged 156 hours a month for 10 months (Feb.-Nov.) and in 2022 he averaged 180 hours a month for 10 months. I forget if 2021 or 2022 was the year he played the most, I thought 2021 was his best year ever in terms of hours and money won but not sure.
I do find Diesel doing everything in the hardest/stupidest way possible and always saying it is the best way to do it, very annoying. Like even the way he holds up 3 fingers with the ring fing
It's even stupider when he holds up any fingers at all, because he says "three" out loud. Who holds up fingers when they speak to amplify that they said a number? When I tell someone my zip code or phone number I don't start flashing finger numbers like gang signs.
I mean they could be fake numbers but he seems to binge and purge when it comes to poker hours. Makes sense because if he gets in a mental funk he’s probably better off watching old sitcoms than forcing hours.
Did Diesel ever explain what was bad about the Lake Tahoe games? Based on TBC’s results in Reno/Tahoe, I assumed Diesel would do better than Vegas. I’m guessing the games were too “boring” with a bunch of backpack boys or he had one of his freak outs being in an unfamiliar place. I doubt t
They didn't go to Reno. I thought they were there for the Tahoe Circuit event. I've been there many times when I used to live in the Bay area. There are very few local poker players in Tahoe, so during the Circuit event you can be sure that prob 75% or more of the table went there for the Circuit event. I'm not saying they're all Phil Ivey, but they're better in general than the typical Vegas 1/2 player. The best chance of winning money is/was the single table satellites, and I'm not even sure they run them any more.

If I ever heard anyone saying something like this I would naturally assume they were joking. I'm 100% sure Diesel is serious here.

I've seen this a few times and I'm not so sure about it. For one, I just don't think it's that hard to get action playing nitty at 1/2. In some games, sure, but it seems like a lot of 1/2 players like to go after nitty players. At least pre flop anyway.
I really think he changes tables mostly to go south or if one of his quirks gets irritated by something at the table.
I played a little with Rice at Winstar pre covid. Winstar 1/2 was filled with table hoppers, pre Texas clubs and pre covid. There were so many games going on it was easy to table change. Some of it was maybe to avoid a particular player or two, but I'm pretty convinced most of it was to go south.
Rice loved Winstar pre covid and said at one time his plan was to move to Durant or Gainseville to grind.
I think he just hates having $400+ on the table for very long.
