I've only played poker there a couple of times when I saw on a bravo a random plo game pop off there and once when I saw 5/10 nl (what a game that was)

But aside from that I've been there decent amount of times and I like the vibe. They give people fair games (3/2 double deck,9/6 job even at the bars) quick drinks good cheap food. Not fancy but basically an old school feel.It's a very good place for people who actually want to gamble.

They're also one of 2 or 3 sportsbooks in Vegas that are actually books that make their own lines and take action and not corporate pussies.

Yeah, I concur the 5/10 will run every now and again... and it can be action packed. It's not run consistently, but it does run.

It is run as a semi-private game, just like the Red Rock 5/10 game. People can get in the game, it's just that it is as an invite game with maybe a couple empty seats at start up.

SouthPoint is the only L08 4/8 I have ever seen in Vegas (its only ran in two places) where three people fold to a bet on a T852r turn. Can't speak on the NL games.

I'm thinking of starting a GoFundMe for Pman so he can restart his poker career. He deserves a fair chance and should be a receiver not a pitcher. We can get him to promise he will study, get proper coaching, and maintain that grind we all know he's capable of. Who's with me? It's time for the poker community to show it cares!!!

Pman is a lost cause, he will never be able to beat live 1/2. Im not even sure he can beat 10nl. He has been at this what, 4 years now? if it hasn't happened by now, it's never going to happen. If you can't figure out the basics in 4 years it's time to give up and go be a walmart greeter or something.

Never played at South Point but I know when AQHA and NFR are in town each year you should play there.

I do not want to back him and give him the anxiety of playing for someone else. I want us to give him free money and put no unnecessary burdens on him to achieve his goal.

ELD gives legal analysis on Nevada's overtime law but most importantly we only have three more days of this until a return to actual nomadic videos from ELD.

I assume NBuc is just making a sarcastic comment due to the depressing nature of Blue Poker's video.

SP is one of my three favorite hotels in Vegas

I’ve always wandered what marijuana would sound like if it could talk and now we have Blue Poker.

SouthPoint just never really did it for me. Yes I would play there from time to time when I didn’t want to handle the traffic on the strip but I always thought that the 1-2 player pool played a lot tighter and had more knowledge of the game than some of the other rooms in Vegas. A place like Belliago I’ve noticed has 1 or 2 crushers at a table and the rest are recreational players that you can win money from or get unstuck quickly. I have hit a few promos in the Southpoint room to get me ahead or unstuck.

I do have to say that Tami who works at the front desk in the southpoint room is the best in Vegas as far as customer service and friendliness with the players.

The rooms are all large, the restaurants are decent enough and offer quantity portions, and specials, there is a 24/7 Starbucks

I highly recommend the hotel as a lodging alternative to the general Strip hotel experiences further north. There also is quick access to the I 15 if you feel like driving somewhere along the Strip or to downtown.

The only knock on the hotel is that the pool is not as nice as those at other Strip properties., the hookers on property are not as attractive as at major Strip properties, nor is there live lounge entertainment anymore. (I consider the loss of live music/comedy to have been a downgrade of the property's offerings. The "Dirty at 12:30" shows, next to the poker room were always packed and lively.)

I checked the Southpoints rewards program and it is terrible which no waivable resort fees and the hotel rates sky high.

They got rid of the free dirty comedy show at South point?? BOO

to be fair when think blue poker shot videos on the clock as a dealer he was sober. Also, those vids occasionally show EDR food pics.

Kinda mind boggling it took him so long to figure out they weren't going to double count his OT hours

Especially after it was explained to him countless times in his video comments, literally every time that he spoke about the so called "discrepancy" in overtime pay.

Of course he never once acknowledged the point. I guess he just likes to ignore anyone who says things that he doesn't already think himself. Anyone who tries to impart any knowledge or logic onto him is classed as a miserable loser.

Then when he stumbles on the information months later he reveals it as if he has solved some great mystery all on his own and has to explain it to everyone else so that they can now understand it like he does. This is a recurring pattern with Rice. He really is a national treasure.

Diesel is book smart, not street smart. Imagine bothering to make a power point and a video to explain how overtime is paid. But then again, this is Diesel who loves to over explain simple concepts and make a video about it.

I'm still waiting for a video on how to get from Caesars to Allegiant Stadium before the NFL season kicks off. I mean I know how to get there from Bellagio and Horseshoe but I'm screwed if I'm at Caesars.
