OK Vlogger Thread, we are going with some new parameters to try to make this the POSITIVE vlogger thread that it is supposed to be, not the AIDS vlogger thread where a few loonies ruin it for the rest. Note that 'positive' does not equal 'only positive', it means anything negative being said CAN'T be namecalling or wild, unsubstantiated speculation regarding any and all vloggers. I thought Troop is literally a daddy.

I think humanity has successfully faded that particular disaster. Finally some run good.

I do not want to back him and give him the anxiety of playing for someone else. I want us to give him free money and put no unnecessary burdens on him to achieve his goal.

Enabling that child is the worst thing you could do for him. The best thing for him would be if his old man sold that condo and said "life's tough, wear a cup, you're on your own now kid".

Tell you what - instead of burdening him with the tasks of getting out of bed, NOT smoking a ton of weed, driving to a casino and punting off a stack in level 2 of a tournament, send ME all the money you want to give to him, and I will do a Youtube video where I will punt it off even faster than he ever could. You can even pick tournaments or cash games. I'll even pay for my own airfare to do it.

Diesel takes months to finally understand how OT works.

Thinks it's such a complicated topic that he needs to make a video breaking it down.

In the end he thinks he is still smarter than everyone else for figuring out something that no one else could possibly comprehend.

He continues his delusion that he's the smartest man in the room.

It really gives an insight into why he is the way he is and why his life is the way it is.

I'm starting to wonder if he was actually shorted on every single job he's ever had or if he added his own convoluted made up rules and created a non existant issue which was just him not understanding basic concepts.

It's like when he made his sandwich video touting his attention to detail and then when he was called out for being wrong he just ignored it and made up his own rule. "No one would ever pay that much for pickles or olives anyways, I am right"

Diesel gets in his own way.

This latest video on overtime works and how he figured it out finally proves that all these other times he got shorted is just in his head. Can you imagine if he didn't get a higher down rate than the minimum so he still came out ahead money? He would have been at payroll at 9 am the next day to complain.

He was still smug about it in the comments section like it was super confusing so no one else could have figured it out too instead of admitting he was completely wrong about the overtime calculations.

wait, if i'm understanding this correctly, he believed that if he worked 50 hours then he'd get 50 hours at normal rate + 10 hours at OT rate instead of 40 at normal and 10 at OT?

Under the ELD analysis there are two types of overtime - daily overtime and weekly overtime. The daily overtime is overtime for any hours over 8 per day and as for weekly overtime it would apply to hours over 40 per week which excludes any daily overtime each day. ELD uses a chart as an exhibit to prove the daily overtime hours do not count towards the 40 running total for weekly overtime. Said another way, if one worked 10 hours for four days, then 8 hours per day would be paid at the regular rate during the four days and would count towards the running total of 40 hours (after at whcih point weekly overtime would then start) and then remaing 2 hours per day would count as daily overtime. On the fifth day it would be all weekly overtime due to the weekly running total exceeding 40 hours of regular hours and even daily overtime would not increase the overtime payment rate at that point.

To get to this point it required ELD to consult an Australian legal scholar as well as NRS 608.

Kinda mind boggling it took him so long to figure out they weren't going to double count his OT hours

I don't believe he was ever under the assumption his OT hours would be double counted. He assumed he would receive time and a half for any hours worked beyond 8 hours in a day, OR, any hours worked over 40 hours per week. Some states calculate overtime pay in this manner. It isn't double counted.

Scenario 1: you work 4 - 9 hour days totaling 36 hours. You haven't reached 40 hours, but you have worked 1 extra hour each day beyond 8 hours, which means 32 hours are paid regular time and 4 hours are paid time and a half.

Scenario 2: you work 6 - 8 hour days totaling 48 hours. You haven't worked more than 8 hours any day, but receive time and a half on the 8 hours you worked beyond the 40.

Some states calculate 1.5x pay under both scenarios, but the vast majority calculate 1.5x pay only under scenario 2.

Employees who work overtime in the state of Nevada may be entitled to 1 and ½ times their standard hourly wage if they work: more than 40 hours a week, or. more than 8 hours in a day (if they normally earn less than 1½ times the Nevada minimum wage)

thanks for clearing it up guys

Diesel absolutely was double counting his overtime hours. That’s why his calculations were always off slightly from what his paycheck said.

If he worked 10 hours on day 1, he calculated it as 8 hours regular pay, 2 hours overtime AND 10 hours towards the 40 hour weekly threshold. So that 2 hours of overtime was counted twice.

For a guy that loves numbers so much why is Diesel so terrible at math? I used to believe him that every job he had paid him less than they were supposed to, now I realize he was just miscounting and throwing tantrums. He dedicated whole videos on why working jobs are scams, justifying his homeless lifestyle, because he can’t count lol.

I left a comment telling him he was double dipping on his OT hours when he posted the video about his first pay stub. But he views me as a “miserable piece of human garbage”, so I couldn’t possibly be right.

how the heck do you come to a conclusion as such?

He called me miserable when I challenged him on something else a few months ago and I even made one of his “Hateful comments on YouTube” videos.

ELD makes a video about his fanny pack and he reports he carries a pencil with an eraser because sometimes he needs to erase and that he also carries around a jar of vaseline due to the dry weather. The jokes will practically write themselves after this episode.

Meanwhile think blue poker got a full time job as a sportsbook ticket dude, with benefits and whatnot. Probably crappy benefits now that I think about it, but its nice to see someone progress in a somewhat wholesome way.

It's kind of funny how he thinks he's superior to everyone even while he explains overtime. Actual high earners don't get overtime, lol. I don't think I've ever earned overtime except once in high school I worked during a holiday.

ELD talks about upcoming staycation at Harrahs wherein he will fire up the rice cooker and gather plastic spoons and then fill a syrofoam container with buffet meats and not leave the room for three days all the while double book rental at his airbnb. Probably a Trooper marathon watching going on as well. Then on the third day travel across the street to Bellagio for a comped buffet.

so pman is busto from losing like 7k yet 1 video ago he was playing 2/5 with double bomb pots?

He was never playing 50 nl to get better and learn, he was just busto and it was the only game he could afford.

Dude is a gambling addict with no bankroll management.

Did he ever address the scamming accusations?

Nothing wrong with OT. Lots of high earners in trades and union positions make a very nice salary with hourly wages and OT.

Anyone that works hard and earns their money deserves respect imo.

I actually think Diesel is the best out of the misfit vloggers by far, he actually grinds 40+ hours at poker when he plays, he made a goal to work for 50 days and stuck with it, he doesn't mooch off of other people to sustain himself, doesn't lie about his results and make up crazy scenarios of where their money went.

Diesel should be the role model for these guys. Yet they all think they're better than each other.

TBC must be the best poker player out of the bunch, Diesel is 2nd, and trooper 3rd being a barely breakeven/slightly losing player while pman and bikeking are massive fish that call themselves professional poker players.

I guess TBC isn't a vlogger but he should be included with the misfits.

Diesel may not outright lie about his results but he definitely cherry picks which results he wants to share. So it’s more of a lie by omission.

Diesel is a winning player afaik, I'll give him that. But nothing he does justifies his attitude of superiority.

Diesel is definitely not lazy. There's been a few posts implying that he was and I don't see that all. Deluded and arrogant I can see, but definitely not lazy
