Update April 2018

OK Vlogger Thread, we are going with some new parameters to try to make this the POSITIVE vlogger thread that it is supposed to be, not the AIDS vlogger thread where a few loonies ruin it for the rest. Note that 'positive' does not equal 'only positive', it means anything negative being said CAN'T be namecalling or wild, unsubstantiated speculation regarding any and all vloggers. Personal lives and anything aside from poker is OFF THE TABLE.

A new update March 2019:
NO ****ING POLITICS!
all pman needed to do was play to grow his roll and pay for his food and weed.
He doesn't have to worry about housing or any other expenses since his dad pays for the majority of his expenses.
He also alludes to having a ton of bitcoin and that he was actually loaded.
I think we underestimate how bad pman is at poker.
The reason he doesn't play more than 10 hours a week is his monthly allowance only allows him to play so much before losing it all.
He was playing at 2/5 tables and double board bomb pots and a week later said he was broke. He has 0 bankroll management skills and is a gambling addict and would be playing the biggest game if he could. Let's not forget he was playing in $25/50 live streams shortly after his 2nd place bink.
truth is we honestly don't know if pman can beat 1/2 in vegas or not because he never put in the hours
but honestly, i would find it incredibly hard to believe someone who wants to put in the time to study and learn couldn't beat 1/2 with ease
i'm a dinosaur, have not studied nor kept up to date with the game since i switched careers (and even back in the day i was deeply unstudied compared to my peers - a certain hand or two would bug me while i would walk home from a session and then when i got home would use google to try to find out if it was correct to have called pre there with AJ or not and that's what led to me lurking 2p2
only book i ever read was super system 2
well over a decade ago but can still easily beat live 1/2 in usa
having said that, from my understanding, the vegas 1/2 games are the toughest 1/2 games in the country
I would be shocked if there are more than a handful of $1/3 poker players eking out a survival in Las Vegas.
El Diesel/Rice has done it, past tense.
El Diesel couldn't do it last year, and he barely succeeded or failed in 2022.
Pretty sure El Diesel/Rice used his six figure investment portfolio to subsidize his poker earnings the last two years.
Think Blue Poker failed but that's only because he found that cushy job making 13.50 taking sports bets.
Think Blue Poker's buddy, Brandon, better get a job before the Buffaloooo machines get him.
This is patently false.
I would be shocked if there are more than a handful of $1/3 poker players eking out a survival in Las Vegas.
And I would be even more shocked if there are more than two dozen poker players $2/5 and below, eking out a survival in Las Vegas.
what?
plenty of people making great wages at 1/3… but most go to 2/5 where there is people making more money then professionals with degrees and a ton of overhead/expenses
What?
That would make it two folks who figured that, you and just about every home town hero who arrives in Las Vegas to play poker for a living.
I've been playing live in Las Vegas for most of 50 years, there is no way to make a living by live playing poker at low stakes.
Being "good at it" does not suffice. Additionally, most players who "want" to play for a living are kidding themselves as to their relative edge versus other players generally. Being a long term winning player is not sufficient to
Id bet way more people make a living long term from cash than tournaments.
I don't think you can reserve a room for that long in the Rewards system. You would have to do some of the days completely without benefits from Caesars Rewards. Man-off-the-street prices, even at CET, are pretty severe.
Some Vegas dealers have multiple jobs because of that.
I reported when I spotted him in the wild earlier this year at Harrah's. He's was lugging tons of crap with him. I can't even imagine how much stuff he'd be bringing up to his room for a 12 day stay.

It's pure madness that he thinks that what he is doing is in any way optimal. I don't think it's possible to be doing any less with himself after supposedly dominating academics for 20 years and attaining a law degree. And yet from the way he delivers his nightly sermons on his channel, anyone could be forgiven for thinking that he had discovered some blueprint for beating the system and sticking it to the man.
If I hear Bally's, you probably call it Horseshoe, one more ****ing time ...
Today's video was just awful. A waste of time. And he wants to break some kind of record for posting a daily vlog for how many days in a row?

Haha. This image made me laugh. Was the rice cooker out in the open or does he have a nylon carrying case for it? Like, how much crap was he hauling in there?

He had a giant bookbag and a hand cart stacked quite high filled with god knows what and kept together with bunjee chords
If I remember correctly it was a Tues or wed and he definitely would have been checking out on a Friday . It was truly astounding how much crap he needed for a 3 day trip tops.
I'm sure a rice cooker was in there somewhere.
I've seen him at the Aria poker room a few times but you almost expect it there. Seeing him randomly at Harrah's was quite the shock!
This was pre Caesars revoking drink tickets so he may have even had his sweet bounty of beverages in there.

Yeah God forbid he give the results from his session, which probably means he lost. He likes to cherry pick which numbers he releases and tends to focus only on positive results.
Also he played the old outro of him stacking up chips at the table. Made me wonder when he shot that I’m guessing he had someone else wait until he won a decent pot to capture that riveting action shot. I imagined a scenario where the cameraman got tired of waiting for Rice to scoop a nice pot, snuck up behind him and knocked his chip stacks over then ran back to the camera and filmed our hero stacking ‘em up.
You do realize that every single large corporation gives their advertising dollars to people who don't need it. It would be nice if Nike would give us 40 million+ a year to promote their products but we somehow got beat out by Michael Jordan and Tiger Woods.

Pretty simple fix. Quit watching. Problem solved.

ELD makes a video where it takes two trips to unload his supplies and while in the room past ELD needs to get back to the future to edit and post the video we saw yesterday.
ELD states his luggage policy is to only take his full load to the room for four or five day room reservations and not for three days or less. A full roller suitcase, a rugged white cloth bag which is attached by bungee cord, backpack, and fanny pack is hauled up to Harrahs room by ELD.
It's better than living in a car or being homeless but what a hassle to do that every single week.
I think I'd rather live in desert manor than do what Diesel is doing.
Maybe.
I like how Diesel copes and acts like has has life figured out while he's lugging all this crap in and out of hotel rooms and air bnb's over and over just to be able to survive off of poverty wages. No one is jealous of his life other than homeless people or people living in their car.
I do have a feeling 80% of his current loyal viewers fit into that category. I remember a viewer calling Diesel a fat cat for not considering living in his car full time lol.

I think we all know it's a cope so he can feel better about himself for not being successful in life.
I mean I'd probably take playing poker and dealing part time over working a low wage full time job too. His options are limited because of his personality likely caused by being on the spectrum so in a way he's doing the best he can.
I 100% believe he has a 6 figure portfolio socked away as well, I just don't think 95% of people in the western world would ever be willing to live his life in order to make it work.

Sure but if I thought losing 400 dollars was a huge swing and I made like 6 dollars an hour in poker and 30-40 dealing (with none of those pesky downswings) id stick to dealing.
It's not even like he actually loves playing poker.
It's pretty sad because someone like Diesel would have been able to acheieve FIRE with any regular salaried white collar office job.
He can save money making 20-25k a year, imagine how much he could save if he made 100k.
